As I seem to be flush with transfers I thought I'd take advantage of the extra Arsenal games and turn the screw a little at the top of the league

Here Hog, take a well earned week off mate
Joint top scorers this week with 54 points Hog dude and nathan
38 points was the lowest score of the week and sees skiffer drop into last place Come on skiffer, ged rid of BenArfa and Aguero ffs! The rest of that team doesn't look too bad, but with cash in the bank I'd let go of Hangeland and Arteta too!
At the top the mightily impressive Hotpot has tripled the gap back down to second placed Jag. Jag made 16 transfers last week to keep the gap respectable and at the current rate he will be out of transfers by lunchtime tomorrow.

Re: The Egg Cup League 2 2012/13
Here's this week's update...
Last time around The Mightily Impressive Hotpot trebled (from 1 to 3 points ) his lead over The Also Pretty Impressive Jag. This time he drops back again behind Jag, but there's still just 6 points separating our runaway leaders.
However, the best score from yesterday's games (36 points) was from Topspur, who has made some inroads into that big lead the top two had built up, and is now only 39 points further back.
The usual suspects then take the next 5 places, all still pretty tight between us. This group includes Paulgrinny with the lowest score of the week (4 points ) and, to make matters worse, PG has only 8 transfers left, so seems to already have one hand on this year's Tinkerman Trophy.
Then there's the big gap back to Ashers and a further gap to the bottom three, where this week ADK leapfrogs Nathan and Skiffer remains firmly in the wooden spoon position.

Re: The Egg Cup League 2 2012/13
Update... and some big differences in the scores from last night's game!
Top scores of the week of course go to those who loaded up with Arsenal players. The Gibbs/Podolski/Cazorla/Walcott combo earned a massive 35 points for Hotpot, Jag and Robot.
At the other end of the scale, Paulgrinny had no-one in action and got zero.
Hotpot is back in front of Jag again (by 4 points), in what is now surely a two horse race for the title. Topspur continues to lead the chasing pack in third.
No change at the bottom, with Skiffer remaining in the wooden spoon position.

Re: The Egg Cup League 2 2012/13
...and in other news, the remaining League 2 interest in the cup disappeared this week with Jag losing out to Mystery in the quarterfinals. Disappointing we weren't able to repeat last year's Div 3 successes, but a good effort by Jag to get that far nonetheless.
Looks like the battle with Hotpot at the top of League 2 will now get Jag's undivided attention!

Planned Nolan-Walcott before the last two Arsenal games and somehow never got around to it - an expensive mistake!
Oh well, this is a pretty naff "chasing points" move, and chances are that neither will play in the cup, but here goes...

Re: The Egg Cup League 2 2012/13
Update after the TFF lottery they call the FA Cup
Our two leaders have gone even further ahead this week. Hotpot (64, best score of the week) continues to lead the way, followed closely by Jag (61, second best of the week), with Topspur and the rest of the pack a long way back.
Lowest score of the week (18) was Paulgrinny, who has dropped off the pace a bit, while at the bottom Skiffer appears to have the wooden spoon firmly in his grasp.

Re: The Egg Cup League 2 2012/13
Update after the matches on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Good couple of days for leader Hotpot (47 points), who for the first time manages to establish a little daylight (14 points to be exact) over long-time leader Jag (40).
Topspur (38) remains in third while the best score of the week so far (50) is from, erm... me
Still nothing much in it between 3rd and 7th, but Paulgrinny is now a long way back in 8th, after again having a bit of a mare - he gets the lowest score of the week so far with 20.
No change at the bottom, with Skiffer still in the wooden spoon position.
