Here's one that has slipped under the radar. :|

Fighting Fifth Hurdle, Newcastle: Celestial Halo (4 from 6s)

Paul Nicholls nominated the Champion Hurdle trial for Celestial Halo following Brampour's Greatwood victory at Cheltenham and ante-post punters stepped in for the top industry price on the race fit Elite Hurdle winner at Wincanton.

What is your source? I can't find any evidence anywhere. With his history he's the type of horse about whom rumours are always possible. He was certainly OK a couple of weeks ago. But even currently he's 43/1 on Betfair for the CGC compared to 40/1 with bookies, and this is a reasonable price if he's OK given the unlikihood of really soft ground at the Festival. Furthermore the fact that the Betfair price is not significantly longer than the bookies is good news since an injury usually first shows up through a drift on the exchanges.

I hope he's OK as he and Quito are my Irish Hennessy horses for TTTF.

Hi Striker

Apparently there were tweets from somebody at PP saying so, I first read it here http://www.theracingforum.co.uk/horse-r ... =3&t=88539" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, Imperial Call says he's out.

downallstar says out for season
http://community.betfair.com/irish_spor ... 12?pg=last" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Not read a quote from Meade saying so though & as you say still available to back with bookies :?

Hopefully it's more a Jessies Dream situation in that they're taking their time with him & he won't run this year.

Thanks Peoples. The trf link is interesting. So far I'm still not convinced that there is any real substance to the "out for the season" posts as the Betfair/bookie differential is still very limited. If the information was sound some shyster would be laying Pandorama for all he was worth.

As late as October, Meade was still saying that he would not have him back on the course before Christmas at the very earliest, with an implication that he might not be seen until January. So still keeping fingers crossed. As long as he wins the Hennessy I don't care if he doesn't appear before or after Leopardstown.

Sorry, I thought that Herc had got off to a flyer, but I've confused him with London Pat. I don't think Herc6 managed to get his stables into the Mini League. :|

What a race, Kauto Star beats Long Run, Diamond Harry, Time for Rupert and Weird Al.

He jumped like he did at his best and looked like he loved every minute of it.

It looked tired at the end, so The Cheltenham hill will get him but good to see him win again.

Oh - Master Minded won as well.

The old boys, show how it is done.

Shame Oscar Whiskey fell at the last allowing Overturn to win.

Long Runs jumping let him down but he stuck on gamely, wouldn't be too disappointed with his peformance.

Time For Rupert, Weird Al & Diamond Harry aren't good enough on todays evidence.

Agree on Time for Rupert and Weird Al, they need to look at another route.

Diamond Harry is class and needed the run.

Great performance by Kauto. Beat the course record and also 10 seconds faster than his own best at Haydock. Not many will have him in TTF though.

Good run from Long Run too. Nailed on for the King George I reckon, the runs from MM and KS pushing his odds out to a very tempting 7/4.....

it's funny sometimes trying to make sense of things in Racing.
I wonder what price Time for Rupert would be running off 10-8 in the Henessey on Saturday. Pretty short I would guess, but Wayward Prince running off same weight and who finished 5 lengths in front of Time for Rupert in the RSA in March is 8-1. Then I look at Michel le bon who has not run for 2 years, and not long before that was being beaten in a Class 4 race is a shorter price :? The Nicholls factor is not to be overlooked I guess, and time will tell but those odds do not stack up.

I've been bigging up Wymott for the Henessy, but taking into account what Nabby just posted I'm having a saver on Paul Webber's 'Sarando' at around 12/1. He finished 7 lengths ahead of Wayward Prince at the Aintree Grand National meeting and in his latest prep race at Carlisle he beat Aikman by 11 lengths and is very well handicapped for the Henessy. :D
