Strange how new people sometimes turn up on a fantasy football forum and make a post about TV or music or something then disappear again…

You should try being an admin who has to approve initial posts - I've read and re-read presumably innocent messages trying to see how they're trying to push Viagra or advertise gambling sites whereas all they are really doing is trying to discuss the latest TV programme or pop album on an a rather niche fantasy football forum.

I guess some might be bots/spammers who use a post on an “innocent” generic topic as an opening gambit?

@forestfan re BCS
I have no doubt this final series will be
fan-tas-tic and the ending will be fitting. The writers are too good for it to be anything else. I’m literally counting down the days

Is there a release date yet? And will this be the definitive end of the Albuquerque-verse or is anything else in the pipeline?

Sure they’ll be tempted by another movie of some sort…

Just looked up further details and apparently it’s weekly release and in 2 parts, with the second half in July/August.

Started watching "The Big Sky" which is based on C J Box's character Cassie Dewell and covers the first book "Badlands". Gave up after 5 episodes as they had changed the story line so much it wasn't the book!
I'm amazed Box agreed to be involved ☹️☹️☹️

TV series/films based on a book are… for people who haven’t read the books, generally! Those who have, usually seem to hate them (and I guess have had them broadly spoilered anyway).

Just finished watching 1883 which is the prequel to Yellowstone with Kevin Costner. Whilst I enjoyed Yellowstone immensely 1883 knocks it into a cocked hat. It was so powerful and so moving. I defy anyone not to shed a tear or two. Up with Chernobyl and Mare of Easttown.

You don’t need to have watched Yellowstone to enjoy it?

No. It's a prequel set more than a 100 years before Yellowstone. Hence the title. Watch it and be moved by its majesty 🙂

Killing Eve finale seems to have gone down like the proverbial fart in a lead balloon. Watching it after having seen the reviews/headlines, didn’t think it was that bad… bit underwhelming perhaps and just not the ending many hoped for (isn’t that always the case?)

Sounds like Carolyn’s getting a spin-off. I guess Fiona Shaw was always the class act of the cast as per the late Helen McCrory in Peaky Blinders.

It actually got good again with the bnw episode, but then lost any plot. I really struggled with practically the whole cast wanting to bed Eve...

Yep Fiona Shaw and the Russian's mad laugh were the only good bits...

I player has a good 3 part thing on the Maxwells, but leaves a fair few loose ends about Bob being a Secret Agent for half the world, which stops it being great.

I used to know Maxwells old Finance Director. Last (known) person to have spoken to him.

Sadly passed away about 4 or 5 years ago.

Jeepers, a rather "particular" job 😂

He was a good guy. Never spoke too much about it but went on to have a good career after the trial. Was going to resign the day of Maxwells death (that’s what they were talking about when Maxwell was on the boat). He was one of the main whistleblowers. Very nice bloke and very sad when he passed away just as he was enjoying semi retirement and spending more time with his family 🙁

😀 I’m surprised you remember that one. Probably the Nottingham connection I guess made it stick in your mind.

Well it came to mind so I searched to check I’d remembered correctly who it was! Thought he was from Manchester(ish) anyway…

Yeah. I'm rarely impressed by that sort of stuff, but he had amazing stories etc to tell. If you remember the train crash, where the train landed on the platform, he was on the train 🤦

The bstrd saw Jimmi on the Isle of Wight as well
