Well, I've got 3-0 Liverpool (still possible), 2-0 Arsenal (obviously not), 1-1 Spurs-City (that one's out as well...) and 2-1 Chelsea (most likely chance!)

SET 17 TITLE FIGHT RESULT

JESTER 8 v 7 forestfan

A slight fightback from our challenger last night but not enough to knockdown our champ in his first defence. Despite that valiant effort forestfan moves to =2nd on the list of abject failures on the ring as this is his third failed attempt.

CHALLENGER: toffeelover (11). A good score outpointing the rest by 2 means toffelover wants his old belt back. The median score was 6 so he almost doubled that. We won't mention my score as I forgot to pick on tuesday when the most points were won. Losing my belt must have demotivated me. When my mojo returns the champion will just have to watch out.

I was so disgusted with my performance I allowed my 12-year-old daughter to predict my midweek scores... only stepping in when she went 9-0 to Liverpool :D

Our champ has a pitiful 5 points so far but at least he wasn't too scared to get in the ring on saturday. Just 1 point for toffeelover means our champ has retained his belt whetever does or doesn't happen tonight.

Just a reminder that I may not be around much to keep track of this so please could somnebody else step in the ring in a stripey black and white shirt with a microphone (or is that wrestling? do I need to bribe you by mentioning 'dolly birds' carrying out the boards showing the round numbers???)

SET 18 TITLE FIGHT RESULT

JESTER 5 v 1 toffeelover

A criminal no-show til sunday morning (dare we guess hungover at this time of the year??) means our champ barely has to score anything to retain his belt (which is a good job as he only got 5).

CHALLENGER: farmerbob (11). A good score wins purely because the second place man misses out on his guaranteed 3 pointer tonight due to the cold. I was second on 9.

Not sure about that - two respectable scores so far with me edging it 9-8

Two away wins tomorrow and I should be home and dry!

10-8 After the Ars/Avl game.

A 3-0 win for United and we draw 11-11; any other result and it's my game.

Pardon my potentially ignorant question... why aren't the double games showing in the gw20 predictions set?

They mark the start of set 21 - following the TFF tradition of gws running from Tuesday to Monday.

It was a good match - your gamble of a draw between Arsenal and Villa could have won it for you. If you had gone for the safe option of a home win you would have had to get the correct score just to draw. Well played but unlucky! :)

I believe I won Week 19 :D scoring 16 along with bluenoseyparker but winning on a count back. I think that puts me in a head-to-head with Jester.

I may be completely wrong

The only difference in the predictions for tonight is the Arsenal game... you have 0-1 and I have 0-2

I take it that a draw means you retain the belt?

SET 21 TITLE FIGHT RESULT

JESTER 4 v 2 blueprint

A rather poor low scoring match but then again only 4 matches survived Snowmageddon.

CHALLENGER: bluenoseyparker (5) - 5 points is just enough to win by a nose, appropriately enough a blue nose in these conditions.....

SET 22 TITLE FIGHT RESULT

JESTER 4 v 10 bluenoseyparker

Our champ had looked settled in but now bites the dust.

A quality score by our challenger, the best score in the whole wide world this week in fact. Well, equal best......

CHALLENGER: murf (10) - Only 4 scores in double figures in the world this week and 3 were by those of us trying for world title glory. Our champ was one and topnotchbloke was another but he lost to me on countback (a rather shameful 2-1 win in that short week). See you in the ring "champ"
