Ah, gotcha! Cardiff have been weaker at the back recently. They only kept a clean sheet on Saturday because our strikers didn't really test the keeper. Sheffield United though have been keeping clean sheets for fun. Cue whichever you choose to start/carry-on leaking profusely.

400 places in one matchday. Not bad. Depending on how ready for the play-offs some of the other teams are, there could still be some movement left in this team. Not enough to win, but top 100 could be accessible.

I think I'm going to resist bringing in Cardiff's GK (despite the game in hand) & instead will bring in Sheffield Utd's GK on Monday night. I'll also bring in two more Sheffield Utd defenders for Jaidi & Ridgewell (who's injured anyway) & then concentrate on rotating my forward line between now & the play-offs.

Are there any players (other than Taylor & Ridgewell) in this team's current line-up who are either suspended or injured?

Taylor (BIR)

Jaidi (BIR)
Ridgewell (BIR)
Halford (SHU)
Kilgallon (SHU)

Eagles (BUR)
Howard (SHU)
Gomez (SWA)

McCormack (CAR)
Scotland (SWA)
Smith (WAT)

Total Cost  £27.3m
Transfers Remaining  34

I think Howard is suspended Monday so may be worth dropping. I'd drop Ridgewell for R.Johnson of Cardiff & Howard for Hunt/ano Cardiff Mid OR Elliott of Burnley if you can?

Edit: Howard DEF suspended.
Edit Edit: £2.4&£2.9&£0.7 - £6M - S. Hunt & R.Johnson OR Doyle for Smith, Howard for Elliott & Ridgewell for R.Johnson.

Too many subs & so much you could do! :?

Don't worry about it, I think you can afford a throwaway transfer.

Also remember that Kilgallon is almost certainly out of Tuesday's game with a knee injury. I would have looked at Reading defensively as they have decent clean sheet potential at home to Barnsley today, and are the surest bet for a team to be in the play-offs. Hahnemann in goal and Rosenior who is coming back from suspension/injury would be worth considering (after the team news is in of course  ).

In your unique position it may also be worth thinking about swapping McCormack out for Ebanks-Blake just for today's game. With Wolves able to clinch promotion at home today he could bag a few, while McCormack has a tough away game at Preston.

Hmmm...think I'll go for Taylor  Hahnemann & maybe replace Kilgallon with a Reading or Cardiff defender.

Don't feel comfortable replacing McCormack (especially with Cardiff's game in hand) but may go Smith  Ebanks-Blake instead.

I thought there was a 12:45pm kick off today so I made today's first set of transfers without checking any team news, I'll await confirmation of today's line-ups before making any further changes...

Fair enough, Smith is unlikely to bag many points against Brum, even with their problems at the back, and McCormack is on fire. Are you going to bring in any Ipswich or Norwich players tomorrow?

Definitely considering bringing in a few players & then shipping them out on Monday night, any suggestions on the players I should be considering for tomorrow's game :?:  ...

Okay, after checking the line-ups I've replaced Taylor, Kilgallon & Smith with Hahnemann, Rosenior & Ebanks-Blake so this team now has the following line-up;

Hahnemann (REA)

Jaidi (BIR)
Johnson (CAR)
Rosenior (REA)
Halford (SHU)

Eagles (BUR)
Hunt (REA)
Gomez (SWA)

McCormack (CAR)
Scotland (SWA)
Ebanks-Blake (WOL)

Total Cost  £29.7m
Transfers Remaining  29

And surprisingly Johnson starts :D ...

Apologies! I doubt anyone would have predicted a 3-0 drubbing let alone 6!! Hopefully there is a few Cardiff semi-blocks above me at the minute!!

No worries, it's my own fault for being tempted by Cardiff's game in hand (despite their defensively dodgy form). Probably would have maintained my league position if Johnson hadn't played but as he did this team fell to 2,546th overall following the last update :( .

I've made more one change to this team's line-up, replacing McCormack with Stead, I'll be surprised if he gets anything more than two points from the game against Norwich but I felt that I had to at least make gesture of taking advantage of this fixture and Stead seemed to be the best of a bad bunch of options...

Sadly I'm a member of the Cardiff semi-block club  The wheels have come off for me a bit recently, need a boost from somewhere.

RB, I think you're right to put at least one Ipswich/Norwich forward in, but I would have taken out one of the others rather than McCormack. He plays again on 21/4, but Scotland and Ebanks-Blake don't play until 25/4. Maybe you should replace them both too and have 3 strikers playing today? You might get a goals-fest! Then swap all three out tomorrow.

I intend to replace Stead with a Sheffield Utd striker tomorrow (I'll also be replacing Johnson with a Sheffield Utd defender as well), that player will then be replaced with McCormack on Tuesday. In addition to that I may well switch to a full Reading block on Tuesday as well in an attempt to increase the number of players this team has that will be involved in the play offs.

The reason that I didn't replace either Scotland or Ebanks-Blake with Stead is that to bring them back in, I'd probably be replacing players that were also playing on Saturday and I try to gain at least one game from any transfer made (admittedly it's harder to do that here than it is in the Premiership game). However I have noticed that Reading don't play until Sunday so I could bring in a Reading striker on Tuesday for either Scotland or Ebanks-Blake & then bring that player back on Saturday without having to break my transfer 'code'...

It was nice that Stead (despite being a sub in yesterday's game) managed to get a goal & despite getting booked 4 points was enough to move this team up 422 places to 2,124th overall.

Forgot to take Stead out this evening  but did replace both Jaidi & Johnson with Sheffield Utd defenders (Morgan & Naughton), sadly they conceded a goal so I doubt much progress will be made following the next update.

Tomorrow I'll be replacing my Sheffield Utd defenders with Reading defenders & will want to bring in a Reading striker as well (for Stead). Any suggestions on the best players to bring in will be very much appreciated  ...

Reading's line-up is anyone's guess, you'll need to wait for the teams. No-one is playing well for them. They just can't score, and I'm not sure they have a single guaranteed starter at the moment. The striker to choose, if you must, is probably Kevin Doyle, who should be fit, and should play.

If you want a striker for tomorrow, I'd say Cardiff are a better bet for goals. I've got a sneaky feeling Chopra and Bothroyd are both due.

The update tonight had already happened!

I think the championship was the only game needing an update tonight, so it was very quick. I was also going to bring in some SU defenders tonight and forgot, but with both Paterson and Alexander I did alright. I'm determined to haul myself up into the top half of the FISO league table before the season end.

Edit: Or maybe it hadn't. Scores have just disappeared again.

Only a partial one cos they never added Clyne to the player list. Transfers? Hmmm. More than a quarter but less than a half.

They seem to come and go if you happen to check when they are updating. I noticed the updated scores were on but the leaderboard hadn't been re-ordered. It'll be back soon. Another good night for Newbie I noticed.

My defence is heading towards the play-offs (as indeed is the rest of the team). Looks like the update has now properly finished and I've made it into the top half. Razorback has gone up another few places to 2097th. Surely must be aiming at the top 2000 by tomorrow night?

Showing as 2,197th on the website at the moment :? Anyway, made three changes this evening;

Morgan (SHU) Bikey (REA)
Naughton (SHU) Duberry (REA)
Stead (IPS) Bailey (CHA)

I couldn't afford Bikey & Duberry without freeing up some cash so thought I'd switch to a 4-4-2 and see what Bailey can do against a defence that conceded six goals in it's previous fixture  .

May switch back to Sheffield Utd defenders on Saturday plus revert to 4-3-3 by replacing Hunt with a (hopefully) decent striker...
