Stephen Hill got 105

Looks like I won't be trading in McPhee, I've got a gun cash cow I should be playing instead of Leigh Harding.

I hope you're right.

Actually I think you are. Last year I didn't make enough early trades and although it meant I had enough in the final weeks of the regular season to get me into the top half of the league, it also meant that when I got there the squad wasn't really strong enough to put up a serious challenge. So this season if I can see the money, I'm going to trade. I'm not going to get silly about it and trade for the sake of $20,000 but I will be looking at every opportunity for trades.

Hartlett will go up regardless and with it just being a hamstring injury he'll be back in the side soon. The more galling part of it was Hazel's 117. The omens weren't good for him but he's gone in and ripped it up. Fair play to him, but I hope he doesn't do it again.

My strategy is to keep trading up and down aggressively early until I have a solid team. Then just make single opportunistic trades up or down or if injuries come up. My only golden rule is to have 4 trades left by round 22.

I think I had a Barry Crocker this week - I jumped on the Haselby to Hartlett Bandwagon also.... at least I have $476,100 in the bank and so will be seriously considering bringing in Bartell this week (Thought I had a reasonable matchup with GAblett captain against Bartell captain, but got smashed there.) Also looking at Goddard (who I originally had before round 1 but opted for the cheaper option in Gram - you get what you pay for...). And then considering the Rance to Bowden as a possibility to lock in another Gun. I took a chance with Jaxson the Ripper as everyone else seemed to be steering clear, so hopefully the Beams injury will mean he get some more game time to grow into a nice fat cow.

Wouldn't feel too bad about it Scotty, Sarky's had another ripper. You won't be playing guys who get 2200+ every week.

I had another great week as well, despite the Hartlett move and a few other disappointing individual scores. Bartel as captain worked a treat for me and Goddard, Fevola and Stephen Hill all exceeded expectations. Long may it continue! :D

Does S Hill's score represent new found form or was it a fluke? Should I consider playing him ahead of L Harding in round 7?

 I was thinking that too! But it's not true. Sadly - for me - only one of my opponents in the next three weeks has him (hello Zulu!) so it's not going to benefit me much.

Bah

Yeh a few LTI's have kicked me up the butt, will likely cop a nice fat Krispy Kreme in mids this week...

He is the son of God however, miracles may just happen

(but considering my overwhelmingly Physiotherapy directed mind is my actual religion, i highly doubt it)

i think this is sign of things to come, but don't expect consistency just yet.

from my experience in DT, youngsters such as Hill increase their consistency towards the end of the season (the last 7 or so rounds)

if you've got Harding you've gotta play him.

Thanks Tippaz, as it turns out I'll be playing them both thanks to Houlihan's disappearing trick.

Injury carnage all over the place. My lead in the eliminator is disturbingly slender and it looks like I'll probably lose to Tedmule

Shocking weekend so far :x

I'm struggling against Zulu.

I need Cox (c) to get 40 odd points more than Petrenko, T Walker and J Fraser combined.

Aye, some win for the Bombers there last night. Losing my league games and my eliminator - although much depends on how Collingwood perform in that, the feral convict's team is full of the eff... including Presti .

I fancied Port and Carlton for wins, so fair play to Freo and the Roos as well. Not that I give a shit. Bigger issues this weekend.

Settle now SF, dry spells can always be cut short if you're willing to drop your high standards :) (But seriously, dont)

Im fairly happy with 4 of my midfield brigade chugging out 120+.... should had the balls to (c) gibbs, but changed at the last minute

Kane Cornes will be out for "weeks"
http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsartic...3/default.aspx

I may have to do a sideways trade if Beams isn't fit by next weekend.

2 rounds ago I considered myself to have an embarrassment of riches in midfield, round 7 is not over yet and I`m now down to Gibbs, Rich and Barham, with the other 5 wounded, I am now sure Aussie rules is unsafe for humans to play and the sooner robot technology advances and saves these poor bustards from this carnage the better :(

I have a bad feeling about Higgins, I think I may have to get shut of him next round. I'm reaching my equilibrium point and with bartel coming down in price by round 11 I should pretty much have my team of guns and keepers with spare trades for injuries.
