Re: CYKI FA Cup 2008/09
Currently 37 teams in the mini-league.
After the 3rd round of the cup, the top 32 teams will go into a FA Cup mini-cup competition, with the subsequent draw taking place a day or two after each set of matches. I'll get Jnr to pick the matches since he's not biased, and if anything enjoys it more when I do badly.

I've tried to enter but the damn site won't accept my username and password! Does your team not get entered automatically like in FPL?

Re: CYKI FA Cup 2008/09
Its not like the FPL Cup. Its a separate fantasy FA Cup game. So you have to pick a new team of 12 players playing in the cup, from any of the Premier League, Championship, League 1 teams etc in the 3rd round.gooberman wrote:I've tried to enter but the damn site won't accept my username and password! Goober, you should really write some of your passwords down, you always seem to be losing em

Re: CYKI FA Cup 2008/09
I've never lost them though dude, my laptop automatically remembers them. As Jigsaw I kept getting thrown out of FISO when I loaded up the page which is saved to my favourites and it won't accept my Jigsaw password. Now with CYKI, the page says if you are an existing player, then you just log in using your CYKI username and password but it isn't accepting it. I'll have to register as a new player.beglee wrote:Its not like the FPL Cup. Its a separate fantasy FA Cup game. or post them on here. That way you'd be able to find them easily, safe in the knowledge that the other FISO members would leave your team alone completely.beglee wrote:Goober, you should really write some of your passwords down, you always seem to be losing em

Re: CYKI FA Cup 2008/09
Looking a bit rubbish so far
Fabianski conceded
Carvalho conceded and booked
Dempster (Kettering) CS but only played 45 mins so 1 pt
Campbell & Lescott CS
O'Toole (Watford) subbed off on 58 mins and booked
Ronaldo - why did I pick him? Is he even going to play?
Gomez (Swansea) postponed - will the rescheduled match count?
A Young (c) still to play
Stead (Ipswich) didn't start, but came on and scored
Morrison (Coventry) played 8 mins
sub: Kandol (Millwall) booked
22 pts with A Young (c), Ronaldo (possibly) and Gomez (possibly) still to play. 1 pt on bench.
edit: CYKI have Liverpool playing 3-5-1 as they haven't included Insua in the game.

Re: CYKI FA Cup 2008/09
I had 3 defenders not playing (though one came off the bench for 1 point), and two players stretchered off in the first half (SWP and Aliadiere). Captain Drogba did nothing but I scraped to 22 points with 3 to play.

Re: CYKI FA Cup 2008/09
Not doing awful so far, mainly thanks to Noble.
But missing Ireland and Kuyt. Both rested. Fat lot of good it did Man City
I captained Tevez, not sure why. Hoping SAF decides to rest one of Berba & Rooney, and Carlos goes on the rampage like he did in the Carling Cup when he bagged 4. Id settle for 3 though

29 so far for me with 3 players missing.
And to think that I originally picked Nathan Tyson and then chickened out.

Pretty much bang on average score so far but I've still got captain Gabby to come plus the oddly benched RVP!

And he wasn't even on the bench. 24 points with 3 nonplayers and Scotland, Milner, O'Shea, and Samba to play - or not. What a mug's game.Northampton Chronicle wrote:02 January 2009 - Robinho...is expected to shrug off a thigh strain in time for the game against the Coca-Cola Championship side at Eastlands.
Hey, Milner just scored! Too little, too late?
And then a second goal... And now O'Shea's got an assist and a clean sheet (and a yellow card). Two more to go, Samba tomorrow and Scotland on 12 Jan. (postponed game). Might even make it up to the middle of the pack.

Re: CYKI FA Cup 2008/09
Agbonlawhore not playing, but Ashley Young starts for Villa. I could do with a few goals from him as well.
... or perhaps he is1301: So dedicated is Martin O'Neill to the FA Cup that he has left Gabby Agbonlahor out of his squad and picked 17-year-old Nathan Delfouneso up front instead. Gareth Barry is also missing, but Ashley Young does play. Full teams to follow.
1310: TEAMS Gillingham v Aston Villa
Gillingham: Royce, Lewis, Bentley, King, Nutter, Oli, Weston, Miller, Barcham, Mulligan, Jackson. Subs: Julian, Essam, Pugh, Payne, Rooney, Rance, Stimson.
Aston Villa: Friedel, Reo-Coker, Davies, Knight, Shorey, Agbonlahor, Sidwell, Petrov, Gardner, Ashley Young, Delfouneso. Subs: Guzan, Harewood, Salifou, Osbourne, Bannan, Clark, Lowry.
