If we don't get over 16 by the first time I check tomorrow then I'll start with a 'last 16' round

How it will work:

Last 16 - Start to 22/4 (1st round games)
QFs - 22-28/4 (2nd Rd games)
SFs - 29-30/4 (QFs)
Final - 1-5 May (Semis and final)

ROUND 1 DRAW

3. shaggy365 (Phil Whitehead) v 2. knulpuk (Julian Clements)
11. Grant (Grant Humphrey) v 15. Bluenoseyparker (Ian Frost)
6. Surprised (Phil Thomas) v 4. Karrde (Daniel Thursfield)
13. dingram041 (Darren Ingram) v 12. GM (Graham Marsden)
1. murf (Jason Murfitt) v 9 . Spencer4 (Julian Ravilious)
5. Five long bones (Eric Stevenson) v 8.Nathan247 (Nathan Miller)
10.Big Bird (Rob Powell) v 7. Toffeelover (Shaun Cooper)
14. djnuttie (djnuttie) v 16. bagpuss (Nick Thomson)

Just like in the proper snooker, the winner of match 1 plays the winner of match 2 in the next round etc so we won't need to do any more draws

EDIT - dates tweaked as we can now split the points on 22/4 to have 'pure' Rd 1 and Rd 2 scores.

Yep, I worked that out eventually. I only had one player and he won. Karrde, on the other hand had one who lost. That's what the brackets indicate I think.

How does 5 8 11 16 18 (29) give you a total of 526?

Ive got 4 players yet to start and 2 eliminated (so do brackets not mean elimination?). M Davis was a cheap enabler but Mr Lee let me down baaaaad

Karrde old bean, those are the numbers of your players, not what they've scored. Do pay attention, there's a good chap.

Bizarre game being based on total points scored.

My Mark Selby has let the other guy win 9 frames to maximise the number of points he picks up (better to lose a frame and get some points rather than win early and play less frames). Just needs to rattle off the last 3 frames now 8-)

Yep, Selby should get me a good points haul even if he loses. I'll get stuffed in round 2 without him but that matters less

EDIT - just pulled it back to 8-9 8-)

Impressive stuff, but would've been easier using Mark Davis's scores :-

0,0,1,0,0,0,1,0,70 odd (*) = bag of pants

* after Williams felt Sorry for him

I've got Selby too - not looking overly convincing at the moment
