Week 4
The man with 24 carat fingers (sounds like a Tim Burton creation) is still going strong. Victim no. 4 and his 100% record in tact. Despite only scoring 31 this weekend, his opponent on mustered 19 (Doggfazsha)
At the other end of the table, Gazwood and Madchester are battling it out for the Steve McClaren Tankard. Both have nil points. Despite scoring more, Gazwood sits in rock bottom.
Birchy is just hanging on to his claim of being overall top scorer (in the league phase). A commendable 51 (at the expense of Red Dog) is enough to give him a 1 point advantage over the Premierships Arsenal4Ever (213-212).
Results
CarlisleTillIDie 40 - 26 Gazwood
Suzykins 28 - 21 pa102aw
Alchemist 31 - 19 Doggfazsha
Red Dog 30 - 51 Birchy
Madchester 15 - 22 Jackarmy

Week 5
Talk about tight.... 3, 3, 8, 13 and 5 are the margins of victory in this division.
Former "highest score in the competition" Birchy comes crashing down to earth with a Madchester like 27. As it happens, his opponent this weekend was Madchester himself, so 27 was plenty enough to get the win.
Birchy's win sees him leapfrog the previously unbeaten Alchemist. Goldenboy came a cropper at the hands of pa102aw.
One big surprise this weekend was that Gaz manages to get his first win of the campaign. Poor Suzykins has to take that shame with him where ever he goes. I only hope his family find it in their hearts to forgive him.
3 points separate 1st and 5th... who play each other next weekend.
With 2nd and 3rd playing the bottom two teams, anyone of 5 could be top this time next week.

Its in sympathy.gazwood wrote:Too trueZimmerman wrote:you are way out in front when it comes to "defending".
Seems like everyone has their good weekend when they play you
Is the face a supporting look of sympathy? Or at my constant excuses and whining!? (which is all within good reason)
I'm in a similar position in my side comps with my friends. 2nd top scorer overall in both the side games but languishing near the foot of the tables in both
"luck of the draw" has a lot to answer for!

I feel for you mate, I know exactly how you're feeling. I only have to look at my opponents team (who is sitting in 2nd!! With quite possibly the worst team I have ever seen constructed, no offence Alchemist ) to know that the 'draw' plays a major part in this competition.Zimmerman wrote:Its in sympathy.gazwood wrote:Too trueZimmerman wrote:you are way out in front when it comes to "defending".
