Transfer Window 3 headaches

Post by Rick »

I thought I had a few problems before todays news about Killen and Terry. I now have one of my leading teams (86th overall) with Killen and Stokes definatley out, which means I can only change one of Caldwell, Terry or Zemmama all of whom are currently injured :( . And that's without mentioning Saha . I suppose it could have been worse the Killen injury could have happened next week.

Good luck all with your changes this week, could be a cruicial window me-thinks.

Yes I know I’ve been lucky Andy, I know you have it in your name, but you don't hold the copyright on it  . You certainly don't need 150 teams; If I can stay top 20 so far with only 10 seasonal (+ 2 late entries) you should in theory only need about 5. Although having said that watch mine plummet down the leaderboard like lemmings from a cliff

I did my bottom 4 teams that night too, now 2 of them are stuck with him until the next window. Commisserations though Alan, they were well off the pace anyway, not top 50. Mind you, one thing about this game, you can carry one passenger and still do ok, climed up to top spot earier this year despite 2 players being out for the whole preiod. so you never know.

Good luck all. :)

Doyle injury will hit most of the top teams so (hopefully) will not be too much of a disaster

I have Doyle in most of my teams too, he is in most of the top teams, I noticed that a few weeks ago when Reading had a stand alone game. Hopefully he will only be out for the 2 weeks reported.

Anyone who is the slightest concerned with Doyle's injury must have been very lucky with their other 10 selections. Its a bit like being concerned if Young was to be injured in the Mirror game.

Mind you Alan isn't the only idiot to make his transfers too early with Killen. Where's the hang one's head in shame icon? Its especially poor when one only has one team in the comp.

I put Killen into my team at half time during the first Aberdeen-Hibs Cup Tie. I never bothered watching the rest of the game and it was only when I picked up the paper next morning and read "Killen out for 9 months" that I realised what I had done.!!! I now have a forward line of, Venegoor, Boyd and Killen.?

I've been missing transfer windows all season with some lower teams. Leave them too late and time runs out. Need better organisation. How's this for good luck though, I've still got Marlon King in a couple, but with likely replacements Killen & Doyle out, it doesn't matter now anyway. Result!

Also every flipping time I hear the crocked Hibs strikers name I keep singing to myself ' Killen me softly with this team...' Really annoying. :D

Ps Have Doyle myself in a couple of good teams.
