To be honest that was a deal breaker for me. didn't play it last year because of that. Happy it has changed this year.

Yeah that was annoying. More annoying for me is that the page still gets stuck for me each time when loading the game on my phone.. so the only way I get to play is to open my laptop for it as it's working there.

Hopefully arnold has better luck.

I never managed to sadly i got close it showed how many points i scored in week 1 and said pick a team for week 2 but it would not let me so i had to give up . It is strange because i can get to my FPL team and draft leagues easily .

The nature of the challenge this week (double points for goals and assists) meant that many of us had a similar formation (one at the back), players and captain (Haaland), which also meant similar scores! In fact, there were only 5 points between the top 12, with others close behind. Not surprisingly perhaps, we had joint winners: Gchappie (again!) and Fred1266. Well done guys!

The Manchester derby was the focus of Challenge this week. As well as its football teams, Manchester is well known for bands like Oasis and The Smiths. So it was a case of feeling Supersonic for those who picked Gvardiol and Haaland, and more Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now if you went with Foden. Rising to the top of the charts was jimmy ching, who got their first win of the season.

Hello again! I hope you have been enjoying the (very) long international break. (If you’re a fan of Man City, maybe not.) I’ve come back to my regular FPL squad and it has more flags than a UN conference. It looks like Challenge will be a welcome distraction this weekend! We’re resuming the competition with a new event called Game Changers that lasts for four gameweeks. Our first challenge gives extra points for finding match-winning goalscorers. The opening game is the early kick-off on Saturday between Arsenal and Leeds, so get picking your team!

Good reminder, I picked mine during the long cold international break. But one question I was wondering, how do they decide which is the match winning goal if a game is won by two or more goals?

Hi Rick. The answer to your question is the guy scoring the goal to take the lead gets the extra points. So in Brighton's 2-0 win yesterday, it was De Cuyper who was deemed the game changer.

Cheers, I did think that would probably be the case.

But of a lottery but fun to be fair De Cuyper was the obvious choice, at least I had him in every other fantasy team I have. I just thought as there were no price restrictions I would give Gabriel a shot (But I don't think he had any)

Worth a go! I didn't have De Cuyper either, but I did have Lewis Hall, or Sod Hall as I like to call him. Another great pick by me. Doing the admin for this competition has cursed me! (Nope, not a skill issue at all.)

In gameweek 6, there were not many players who qualified for the extra points. In fact, only seven got what the FPL gods classed as winning goals: Bruno G., Rogers, O’Shea, De Cuyper, Lerma, Haaland and (I Shot the) Cherif. Both De Cuyper and Haaland were eagerly snapped up by the guys at the top of the leaderboard. Emerging on top was Smurphy Paw (who else?), grabbing their second win of the season. They have an early lead in the Game Changers event.

There’s no change in the top three, although Thebillfella and Brightwater have swapped places after another fine week for Bill. There’s no stopping Smurphy Paw.
