FISO FANTASY CHALLENGE LEAGUE 2025/26

Post by wahine »

Welcome FISO FANTASY CHALLENGE :D
This is the new thread for 2025/26.
Here is the code for joining (after you have registered for that game and FISO)
Fiso Challenge.png
At the end of today's matches Fred1266FC has an impressive lead of 94 points
RWM United is on 86 points and there are chasers in the 60's tier.
There is still time to join Gameweek 1 one using players that have not already played so far so drop in and have a look at the options, this game is generally very quick to create a squad and can be tinkered with once lineups are known as long as your selection has not started yet.

Join in and see if you can earn yourself a weekly spot on the podium.

The FPL season is underway and the Challenge game has found the first winner. I'm not aware if the winner is a FISO regular but if not please join and take part in our competitions. Next game week we pick from the promoted teams.

RWM United took first place in gameweek one FPL Challenge. Fred1266 FC was only 2 points behind and they were well clear of the rest of us.
The top 3 all Captained newcomer Ekitike and the worst flop was probably new signing Gyokeres. The next challenge is to select players from the promoted teams.

Maybe you have a favourite player and think you can win game week 2, please join and have a go.
Good luck!

 well yes Ralfbergs, the anticipation was that Sunderland would struggle v the mighty WestHam (who were best price predicated to clean sheet  )
then Burnley would easily keep a clean sheet v Sunderland as its one of them should/must win games,

but now everybody is not so sure
pick the promoted players for double points :? or just get Haaland?

ACAB is our game week 2 FISO Challenge winner 5 points clear of MAROM with Challenge Anneka third.
ACAB put the Captain’s armband on Jaidon Anthony who earned 52 points of the 72 point winning total.
MAROM was more conventional with a captain on Gyokeres
Challenge Anneka Captained Mo but earned good points from Dubravka, Calafiori and Pedro

There is more than one way to play this game!

Fred1266FC leads the league after 2 weeks

Gameweek 3 Challenge is homework (if you haven't sorted the new FPL scoring already) and defensive contributions are worth 10points.

Put your BUS team in now. Good luck!

FISO Challenge gameweek 3 and finally wahine tops the Challenge table. 😁

Defensive points from all 3 defenders, Szoboszlai with the only goal of the big weekend clash and Haaland with the band.
Nice after most of my other FPL teams crashed in a heap this gw.

Fred1266FC is 2nd Captaining Bruno with 36 points - is Bruno the Def Con we should all have in our teams :?:
The Beagles and Woeful Wednesday tied for 3rd and both C Bruno.

Fred1266FC has a handy lead in the season so far. 8-)

Next game week after the break it’s double points for the Manchester Utd and City players.
Have a look if you haven't already as it only takes a minute or two to put in your BUS team.

Great picks again Wahine :D you can"t stop winning at the moment 8-) . Pity you are not allowed to pick 6 players from one team in week 5 i will just have to pick 3 from one team and none from the other team with double points Salah luck will finally run out next week .

:D yes!! another win for wahine, and thank you arnold :)
You all don't have to let me win

99 points with the obvious Haaland Captain and Foden's double points.
Smurphy Paw thought Manchester United were a shout for attacking returns but put the excellent Donnarumma in goal with Gvardiol against them :( and was only 6 points away in 2nd place, another 4 points back to Woody's Wonders and close up the rest of the field.

Gameweek 5 Challenge tempts us with double points for Liverpool and Everton Players but which 3 will arnold pick?

Have a look if you haven't played already and join in the "fun" :)

The best score this gameweek picking C Salah, Ndiaye, Sensi and Ekitike with Gakpo and Petrovic was THE BEAGLES who finished on 67 Points. :)
Equal second were Fred1266FC and The_Only_Way_Is_Up who chose different non Liverpool players but with the same result.
Close up were The Flopping Fish, The Black Fingernail, MAROM.

Fred1266fc leads the FISO LEAGUE at this early stage.

Next game week you get to pick your favourite future stars. Go along and put your BUS team in now so you don't forget.

Fred1266FC is leading the season long FISO Challenge league but plenty of points to be found before May 2026 :)

GW 6 challenge with double points for under 23 yrs players was taken out by Challenge Anneka (C Sesko)with 92 points, close up The Black Fingernail (c Doku) and wahineCHL (cDoku)
followed by George's Charlie's and RWM United both on 80 points and 3 on 70p after those.
Next in gw7 you try to choose players earning clean sheets for which there will be double points allocated,
go put your BUS team in :D

Thanks for putting a team in F4C :D unfortunately your BUS fell off the cliff :( .

wahine 8-) isn't that great at FPL and even worse at draft  this season  but my random initial first thoughts are rocking the Challenge game  .

Another close finish with Fred1266FC and MAROM having a good week also.
Semenyo was the one to captain for me and Fred went for Saka with DeLigt contributing 12 points.
MAROM found clean sheets for Pope and Gabriel and C Haaland.

Fred holds the season lead on 501 points.

If you put your BUS team in now, you'll need players who score from BIG CHANCES so this could be one for the stats brigade.

International breaks are annoying but check back before KO to make sure your picks are available.

Game week 8 and The Black Fingernail returns to the top of the league. :D

A very easy win for TBF with Mateta hogging the points for this game week.
Second place went to Challenge Anneka (not to be confused with Challenge Anelka who was equal Fourth sharing with 3 others)
Anneka team found Gabriel and Thiago. Third place goes to From4corners who knocked the BUS back into shape and also found Mateta and his Mega haul. :)

Get your Buses ready to roll out for the "Icons" Challenge - where's Harry Maguire

The game week 9 winner Canadian Bacon chose Mo to find an open play goal :D
If you're that brave then you deserve the win 8-) 👏👏👏
Nasty Quokkas has found a way onto the podium Captaining Bruno who's certainly an iconic ICON
OOP Bolla Pinnsvin close up in third place but Captaining an equally iconic (But not as reliable as he once was) ICON
Next week we get double points for all Winning goals. Not sure how much we get for Losing goals

Get your team in :D

Double points for winning goals :D
Results are in and there is a three-way tie for first place 8-)
Haaland Welbeck and Mateta x 2
Haaland Salah and Gyokeres were the mix selected by the three winners The Black Fingernail, Woeful Wednesday and OOP Bolla Pinnsvin :D .
There was also a tie for the runner(s) up all only 4 points behind and three players sharing third place another 2 points away.

Fred1266FC has a handy lead for the season with the Black Fingernail and RWM United a few points  away in third place.
Hopefully FPL towers will come up with some "Challenging" Challenges to give the chasers a chance.

Get your teams in !!! and don't forget you can change right up to KO when lineups are confirmed.

Thanks for the summary Wahine!
Teams have a tendency to be fairly similar. Or at least that's what I've thought.
But when I check the FPL-site right now there are only three players owned by around 50% or more so maybe the assumption is a bit flawed.
Obviously, if the ultimate goal is to be the winner of the weekly or the mini-season, it can pay to deviate with some differentials. On the other hand, if the goal is to be the winner for all season it will (or rather "should") pay to allways pick players with the highest expected outpout for the week. Of course not a clear decision in any case, but it narrows the scope somehow.

This round is about bonuspoints. Håland on top there as well, Gabriel number two. The rest is difficult to predict and perhaps we shouldn't pay too much attention to that part of the challenge. I have been uncertain how many forwards to play this round. I think I'll stay with two, but one or three also look like viable options.

Good luck all!

Yes BP, the Challenge seems to be to pick the differential, and I have noticed some nice scores outside the obvious.
Well yes! Each week offers a different Challenge but we can see players as Fred and The Black Fingernail are consistently at the top of each table. I've actually won the weekly myself which was very nice :D , annoyingly, I'm at the other end of the table lately.
Semenyo missing a pen probably cost him Bonus Points and Our winner ASTONTINCAN DRIBBLERS found Thiago :D Gibbs-White also.

It's a bit of fun and that's why we all love FISO competitions so we may fail at one and come out tops in another.
If Towers put more thought into it picks might not look so obvious? It's their Challenge to get the Points balance correct so it's possible for every entrant to catch the top of the table and not possible to get too big a lead on the herd.

If you aren't in it you can't win it. 8-)

Spiny takes the first place this week with the "obvious" Haaland and Gabriel but chose Gibbs-White as a differential.

Only 1 point away in second was Woody's Wonders with the obvious and also Gibbs-White :) but no Thiago :( but handy points from Pickford and Pedro.

Brightwater Villa took third place off arnold by 1 point the team included Salah and Saka.
arnolds team also included Saka.

Nice to have good week i have taken some silly risks like not picking Haaland recently and it has cost me a lot points and league postions i . My challange is now to stop taking daft risks and to try and move up the league table Well done Fred our current leader in this comp.

Thanks for running the game Wahine i hope there are good racing meetings for you to watch while we wait for FPL to return .

Hello wahine. Ended up with the 7th place with MGW differential and Haaland forwards. Quite happy as I joined the GW fantasy challenge between Saturday and Sunday matches, so 31 points total look decent haul.
