Quite soft pricing with no Bruno F nor Gabriel

It is easy without either Bruno F or Gabriel in your team Blah i currently have neither but i am one the 71% with Haaland i wish FPL Upped his price to 18 million now .

There are some strange prices Branthwaite is 5.5 and scored 32 points last season and Konsa is 4.5 and scored 100 points last season .

Branthwaite looks about right, but the Villa pricing is almost like a promoted side. Having said that the Villa players have really poor points per match last season.

Villa did not strike me as keeping clean sheets, points last year below what you might expect, and they are going through a huge squad overhaul which normally results in a drop off in performance.

Perosnally I think similar price options exist at more stable clubs.

They were big statistical outperformers in terms of points and goals, though think that's been the case quite consistently over a few years, suggesting they have an "efficient" style rather than being lucky for a season or so. No guarantee that's sustained with major squad turnover, though.

If like me you will be playing both FPL and Fanteam this season, some points of interest in pricing and stuff:

- Cunha and Kroupi are FWD in Fanteam but MID in FPL

Price differences that made me think oooh:

FPL has the following more expensive:

- Haaland 15.5 instead of 12.5
- virtually every other FWD is cheaper in FPL than in Fanteam
- Bruno F 12 instead of 10.5
- Palmer 9.5 instead of 8.5
- Rice 7.5 instead of 7
- Kulu 6.5 instead of 5.5 (if he plays...)
- Rodri 6.5 instead of 5
- Scott 6 instead of 5
- Hackney 5.5 instead of 4.5
- Gabriel 8 instead of 6.5
- Truffert and Munoz both 5.5 instead of 5
- Lacroix 6 instead of 4.5
- Schar 5 instead of 4
- Mukiele 5.5 instead of 4.5
- Branthwaite 5.5 instead of 4.5
- Pickford 5.5 instead of 5

FPL cheaper:

- Gyokeres 7.5 instead of 9
- Pedro 7.5 instead of 9
- Ekitike 7.5 instead of 8.5

A long way off final decisions but based on FPL pricing, I am at the following place (assuming the back 7 will cost me around 36m with a 10m - 26m split, leaving 64m for front 8):

- with Haaland, I can have a very acceptable front 7 and play 352
- with Haaland and Bruno F, the compromises become too much in my opinion ... unless I go 442, but there seems so much value in midfield
- with Bruno, no Haaland, the remaining front players can be very strong
- if I go neither Bruno nor Haaland, I cannot spend the money

Can anyone shed some light (or some opinions at least) on the following:

1. Is Maresca a rotating tinkerer or does he prefer consistency?
2. Gvardiol, a must pick in previous times, no longer a solid starter?
3. Will Iraola mean Wirtz comes to life?
4. Is Isak back to normal or suffering post-injury degradation?
5. Any reason not to expect Thiago to repeat his goals?

Erling Haaland with 3.0 more expensive! Is this the biggest increase or there are some bigger increases in other seasons?

Tonali and Gordon gone. Bruno G virtually gone.

Wissa returning from a long injury and Woltemade not actually firing.

Unless they do some seriously impressive spending soon they are going to lack goals and I suspect the dressing room is not going to be a very positive motivated place to be.

As for the new manager, he has very limited experience and nothing in a league we might consider "big".

On the other hand, last season he had Ivan Toney so perhaps that is the Newcastle striker plan?
