GW 23 Transfers

Post by Oxford NZ »

Plan was to go Gvardiol to TAA for the good fixture in GW 23 and a double in GW24
That move only leaves 0.3 itb for an Ass manager chip so requires one more transfer to find the cash for GW24.
One or the other will have to change. The AM chip needs to be played early to leave room for the WC BB and FH ( 3xC done GW2 Haaland 17 points )

ps - I need a new keyoard / lato sticky key not eff working.

I believe that you do have scope to play it later if you wanted. Free Hit and Wildcard don’t need to be played in a Double Game Week. In fact, Free Hit in a Blank probably increases options (no need to commit now). Wildcard before a Double allows another Chip to be used in the DGW. That’d still allow BB & AM in DGWs 33&36.

I still have the TC to play, that I’ll use in 24 and will then follow some version of the above.

Plan is Evanilson to Gakpo. Going to try and make that move as late as possible but will keep an eye on the price changes.

Would like to bring in some City attackin coverage, but their upcoming fixtures aren't great, and it's tricky deciding who to let go.
Foden/Kdb would be for Gordon or Mbuemo
Haaland would be for Isak, and would also require a downgrade of Sala/Palmer.
Newcastle have Southampton next, so most likely at the moment is Mbuemo to Foden.

Raya  Alisson. I reckon Liverpool will concede a lot of shots in the two away games in the double so Alisson could very well be in for a big score. Add Ipswich and Wolves either side of the double and it's a no-brainer.

It might be risky picking Young Maxi he was on the bench against Spurs . Branthwaite Tarkowski or Mykolenko are safer choices if you want an Everton defender . If you want long term pick i would pick Hall because he is more likely to get assists than the Everton defenders and Newcastle have kept 5 clean sheets in the last 7 league games.

Going double defensive changes with Chelsea out and Newcastle in.

Sanchez > Dubravka
Colwell > Burn

Admittedly Newcastle just conceded 4 goals!

Chelsea have continually conceded goals throughout the season with very few clean sheets and so i've decided it's time for change, while trying to keep spending down I've saved 0.1 by swapping to Burn and 0.3 by swapping to Dubravka.

Pope is back very soon no? I believe it's expected return date is this weekend actually.

Mbuemo seems a clear hold, I'm thinking of how to bring him back by the Spurs fixture in 24.

I'll also be bringing him in (for Bruno) next week. That Spurs game could be full of goals.

It's looking like a -8 for me:

Raya  Alisson.
Jackson  Mateta (-4).
Jota  Diaz (-8).

I didn't properly evaluate Mateta + Diaz vs Gakpo + Eze (+0.7m) before knee-jerking Mateta in already but I think I've ended up with the slightly better combination since I don't need the funds.

I'll likely be selling Bruno as well.

did Lewis to Trent

considering Jimenez to Mateta for -4 but not sure if it's worth it, United are still bad and Fulham are a decent side, slightly worried about Jimenez being benched though

Finally time to ship Haaland out to get the riches and triple up on Liverpool...

Haaland >> Gakpo
Vestergaard >> Trent

I may keep Delap in vs Southampton next GW - but Wood will come in after that i think.

burn is prob the worst toon def to pick also as hes a yellow card magnet. botman (although a slight return from injury risk) would have been the best option at the price imo

Colwell > Digne

Had considered bringing in a Liverpool defender but I fancy Villa over the next few games and it leaves open a Slot for Slot…
