GW11 Transfers - Deadline Sat 9 Nov 13:30

Post by fairfranco »

No early games this week so it's a late 13:30 deadline.

After losing patience with Solanke I switched to Wood this week! Felt good about it on Saturday when Wood kept up his great form, not so good when Solanke picked up 17 points! Maybe I should have gone with my initial instinct to wait for Solanke to play week 11's match at home to Ipswich before ditching! :(

My other transfer was Akanji to Konaté which went worse still with the Liverpool defender going off with a wrist injury though it seems he's back in training head of the European game this week.

I've wasted enough time on Luis Díaz who has only started one of the last 4 playing an annoying 20 or so in the other 3 and getting pulled off after an hour in the one he did start.

I'm also considering ditching Haaland, Salah is in great form right now while after a huge first 5 weeks Haaland is having a somewhat lean run of just 1 goal in his last 5 games. Brighton and Spurs are both tough games next for City though both teams with their high lines do concede a lot.

Would you be pulling the trigger on Haaland? with his price dropping since last game week it seems some have lost patience. With the considerable budget he uses it is very tempting.

After yet another blank, I saw DCL was going to be dropping in price on Saturday night, my plan for the week was to roll my transfer but I could not let that useless pr*ck cause me yet more disappointment so I transferred him out for Evanilson.

I looked at all the possible replacements but I like the Bournemouth fixtures coming up and he's low owned so I'm trying to play the game a bit differently.

It means I'll likely be taking a hit next GW but I'm filled with joy that the most useless asset in FPL history is no longer darkening my life.

if your fpl link does point to your actual team then that is shite at best

no regrets as far as solanke is concerned. it was the right call in that moment. solanke was on wafer thin ice. wouldnt be surprised to see him blank against ipswich. with spurs euro action in midweek that game will be tighter than most people expect. solanke most likely will be a victim of that

as far as haaland goes...i would only move if i was looking to get salah (last gwk was the call as a lot of fisoers will testify) otherwise ride out the storm and stay strong :)

a tad harsh there with some words but i get it lol. some (blind as a bat) folks may disagree however

well this makes a refreshing change. someone actually owning up to making a massive fook up as far as getting calvert in was concerned  solid ranking also 8-) imagine where u could have been had u gone for wood instead of calvert :D

good luck with Evanilson :)

Thank you - and as you say, if only I had got Wood instead! A long way to go yet and I'm still in a great position, I feel like it is definitely a year to go a bit left-field with some picks, the template feels stronger than ever.

Carvalho to *drums please*.. Bruno, potentially Rogers to Semenyo for -4 depending on any injury update.

On Sunday afternoon, those drums will very likely be replaced by a small violin.

Watkins to a mid price striker, joining Welbeck, but neither Jimenez nor Wissa making a claim for the spot in tonight’s game.

Cunha or Strand Larson - fixtures
Wood - Form
Vardy perhaps?

Too many to choose from

Edit - Cunha going up tonight, and my transfer plans for this and next week have 0.0 spare, so Cunha in, done.

Worked out better for you. Watkins dropped overnight :(

If Solanke rises, might be able to buy Watkins back next week for vs. CPAL.

I’m reluctant to do it but Salah is over owned in my mini league and not having him has cost me over 200,000 in rank these last weeks.

Dont want to ship out Saka or Watkins but it is my most direct route back to Salah

Sels
gvardiol konate ait nouri Leif Davis faes,
Salah palmer mbeumo rogers buonanotte,
Haaland Wissa and cunha/welbeck

Torn on the third striker, any opinions? Wood Vardy strand Larsen seem less desirable to me.

1FT
Pau Torres -> Ait Nouri. Would then bench Gabriel and play RAN.
Or roll ahead of the international break.

Gladly out of date!

Updated now, i'm still having a pretty poor season thus far.

Very tempted by Iask, 2 goals in his last 2 games and while neither game saw him have high xG he did have chances in the previous game v Brighton. away at inform Newcastle isn't easy but the following games against West Ham and Crystal Palace definitely look good.

I think I may stick for another week though giving me 3 free transfers over the international break. If Haaland blanks then i'd be keen to make a quick move to get Salah ahead of their game against Southampton (Haaland will probably score a hat full against leaky Spurs!).

Colwill had looked a bargain as a regular performer in a "top 6" team but Chelsea's defending hasn't made it pay off, equally i'd happily get rid of Sanchez who i'm not too pleased to have brought in for Pickford ahead of his bumper week!

No hits this week :D
I transferred the just bought  Buonanotte for Semenyo - 2 points v Ipswich didn't cut the mustard and Semenyo looks playable every game week.
I'm still holding on to Haaland but it is so tempting to sell and splash the cash.
