Sports betting question

Im new to sports betting and hope this question doesn't sound stupid but I will be in Vegas on Saturday and wanted to place a bet on the Sunday Nascar race this weekend. I will be leaving town Saturday night though and was wondering if I win any amount do I have to go back to the casino to collect my winnings? Or can I like mail the winning ticket in or something?
