WC33 for BB34

Post by wonkypenguin »

Anyone else going down this route?

I've already pressed the button, but don't like my team... struggling to afford the doublers I want as I appear to have frittered away my TV putting out fires in the last few weeks. It's all very annoying!

Sanchez (DDG)
Shaw, Schar, Mings (Estupinan, Zouma)
Salah, Gakpo, Rashford, Mitoma, Almiron
Haaland, Watkins (Darwin)

...with a "plan" to switch Almiron -> Grealish and/or Watkins -> Alvarez for 34.

Not sure, will see who they put out today... but he is interchangeable with Jota until the deadline.

Jota went up last night, so at least use him as the placeholder?

Can we be sure that from now on Sanchez will play instead of Steele? Since you have got Estupinan as cs coverage for Brighton, I think a downgrade to Iversen could save you 0.7m. Iversen is playing Everton at home in gw 34, so it might well be a thought.

Haaland is your only player from City. Obviously we have to be worried about Pep's rotation. But I think that Ederson in goal would be worth considering. Instead of swapping Watkins for Alvarez, you could then consider Martial for him as your third ManU player.

Almiron could be Grealish or a second Brighton midfielder (March/Mac Allister)

Food for thought. Good luck!

N.B. I do not have have BB left, but I am looking to wc in gw 34. So the thoughts are obviously similar.

Yes, also time to play the Wildcard and Bench boost, it doesn't look anything like your wildcard wonkypenguin  :?
but I would like to know which Brighton goalkeeper is playing.

and I'm swerving Manchester United  although I have Shaw as a possible.

If I have any non runners I will play the bench boost another day, I'm so over the Bench boost chip, every time I try to play it I have non starters.

Favoured draft at the moment:

Ederson Iversen
Trippier Shaw Estupinan Castagne N.Williams
Salah KDB Rashford Mitoma March
Haaland Jota Watkins

Big worries: no Arsenal, Brighton's fixtures quantity, but not quality.

As for Steele or Sanchez, I understand that Sanchez will start today and that Steele should be their PL goalkeeper again as he wasn't in the squad last time due to a precaution/slight injury.

Thanks for that, appreciated 😃

With Brighton's games in hand, was thinking Sanchez would be a good set and forget for the season, but now you have me worried... I might go with your Ederson +Iversen suggestion to save pennies for a future gameweek.

Although after today, I might just load up with Newcastle, despite their lack of DGWs!

Hi there! I'll wait and read the scout selection. Perhaps I'll transfer in forwards from Brighton.

Sanchez played well. Might keep his place after that.

I'm currently on this, and after a lot of tinkering I'm very happy with it. Worried about no Watkins this coming week, but don't want to earmark Watkins to Isak in case of injury and need some 'Toon ahead of their double.

No Trippier a gamble but I think they have learnt to attack in many different ways now, hence his returns are well down on first half.

Not interested in Brighton keeper - with 3 DGW you need the best, not cheapest, Brighton players I think. Would be much better if Ferguson was fit though.

Feedback very welcome though I'm quite set on this lot!

We are probably all circling around the same players. The team certainly looks very strong. I personally would not double up in defence (Pool/ManU) where you have invested a lot. It probably limits you in your options in attack (Jota/Darwin/Jesus or even Kane) in case of injuries. The other issue we all face is the rotation of players.

Good luck with the team and your BB!

I am still playing the wildcard but have decided not to bench boost as I am unable to put together any bench I am happy with :( and also had a turn around and reluctantly sold Isak to enable Rashford FOMO :)

The plan is to see how KDB goes for GW34 as somewhat of a differential with the option of using 3-4 transfers and bench boosting in GW36 when Arsenal midfield can come back, the best Newcastle can come in and the cheapies I have bought in the wildcard play Bournemouth at home.

Hi! What do you think about picking Brighton forwards? Welbeck and Ferguson are doubtful. So, will Julio Enciso start from the beginning in the absence of Danny and Evan?
Welbeck is with 75 % of playing! Can he play from the start or will he go in as a reserve from the sixtieth minute? :P
And what about Deniz Undav?
Thanks in advance!

I don't think it's possible to WC and bench boost the same game week anyway !?

Undav is the forward, Encisio plays in the MacAllister position if MacAllister drops back (which happened when Veltman was injured, and hence Gross moved to RB). He's a but rubbish though. As above, I'd go for the best Brighton players, as they have 3 DGWs.

I’m currently on:

De Gea - Steele
Trippier - Stones - Shaw - Konate - Zouma
Salah - Grealish - Rashford - Mitoma - March
Haaland - Jota - Isak

I’m pretty settled on the front 8, but uncertain about my defenders. Particularly compromising on Konate instead of TAA.

I've brought Haaland back and also brought in Stones.
As soon as things tick over to next gameweek the plan is to bring in De Gea and Shaw.

I also have KDB but Grealish is calling my name.
Gonna stick on Saka and Martinelli at least for one more week.

De Gea - Iversen
Trippier - Stones - Shaw - Mings - Bueno
KDB - Saka - Martinelli - March - Andreas
Haaland - Kane - Isak

Never just a username wahine.

I personally believe the BB should be played earlier rather than later, if you can keep the bench players down to a cost that does not greatly effect the starting 11. You only need a clean sheet from a defender and a reserve goalkeeper, and appearance points for the rest of the bench, so no need to spend too much to get goal threat from a defender and a bit of goal involvement from a mid or forward.
Pick a formation that suits and go cheap on the bench.
At this stage of the season the relegation battle will be in full swing, and some teams will be in holiday mode all ready.

I've lost Trippier, for reasons as above - you could consider that to get TAA? It is a risk though. Or lose Jota? He has a lot of competition for his place and yes he's scored a few but went about 25 games without scoring previously.

jota gone 25 games without scoring :?: bit of an exaggeration me thinks :) and when he wasnt scoring he was still contributing with assists. Factor in he had a massive injury in between that. Right here right now jota is the form guy. Klopp would be foolish to drop him. Go without him at your peril
