I have my eye on Bueno to 4.2mn Tarkowski too, but can't do it yet. Maybe GW25 as Bueno will be my xi'th man that week.

It seems like I really have to change Almiron to Mahrez. And I need to do it before Mahrez rises in price. Which means if he does anything useful (save putting the washing out) today, it'll be tonight. Then I have the option of a sideways swap, Martine'erscore to Odegaard for free later in the week.

Really really need a Man City defender for the double, up to 5.2m. Really really not sure if I can trust ake akanji or Lewis to start, and even then will they keep a clean sheet (none seem to have much attacking threat, even Ake professed amazement when he scored in the cup).

Now Cancelo has gone, Lewis must start at least one of the two?

In what position? RB Walker can play, LB Laporte or Ake. Inverted oddity ? Maybe Pep will work out that if he's going to play CM the whole game he could actually play a CM there?

In summary, Pep would not have let Cancelo go if he didn't feel he had plenty of options.

He's probably the best bet though; when I used to play poker and had a tricky decision I used to err on the side of a cheap mistake as opposed to an expensive mistake. Will help Mitro to Kane which seems necessary as soon as possible.

Why? I've got Lewis and I'm thinking of benching him to play Shaw! Looking at your team and Schar/Shaw could easily outscore whichever City defender you choose. Can't see them keeping a clean sheet at Arsenal and it could be hard picking one who will play twice. Shaw/Schar both nailed to play, good clean sheet chance and attacking threat. Don't think you need a City defender at all with the players you already have in place.

KDB to Mahrez/Grealish
Martinelli to Odegaard
Andreas to Saka

for a -4 is the current plan

completes the switch to 3-5-2, retains Kane & Bruno, and I'm confident the -4 will be paid back pretty quickly

Martinelli :arrow: Saka
Andreas :arrow: Mahrez

First one already done and the second for a 4pt hit is almost certain. Just want to make sure there's no impactful injuries or suspensions from the midweek match before I commit.

Hopefully Mahrez plays over 60 minutes next week and scores or gets assists

I think you might be right actually - although I can see Arsenal being 0-0.

No need to be active - 6 doublers in the team who will hopefully all start.

I agree with you wonkey also the 5 sub rule makes it hard to get any points from the bench now and players like Kdb are always likely to come on at some point in the last half hour of matches and some players are also subbed just short of the 60 minute mark to stop clean sheet points.

Looking at this for -8 🫣

Toney -> Nketiah
Almiron -> Mahrez
Cancelo -> James

Best to take hits in a DGW when you have additional chances to claw them back

Probably:
Martinelli :arrow: Mahrez
Patterson :arrow: White

Thing I'm struggling with is does it really make sense to take out Martinelli for Mahrez when I could switch out Bruno instead :? Martinelli has 4 games vs 2 for Bruno over next 3 GWs, I've just lost all faith in the Brazilian though....

With Casemiro out for the next three matches, that could effect Man United and Bruno's potential FPL . This imo makes Martinelli ( even with reduced time on the pitch) worth holding as you already have him. I would not be using a FT to remove him as he also has a game in GW 25.
The GW25 blank is causing me to make transfers out of sequence and preventing getting players in who I want due to fixtures and form.

Bruno, Martinelli :arrow: Mahrez, Saka (-4)

The second transfer is not only targeted at GW23 - I expect the hit to repay itself over the coming weeks.

Bruno will come back in after GW25

This is a tough one for me. Reduced gametime is a big thing, especially if it's less than 60 minute mark. Sideways move of Mart to Ode for free is still on the agenda this week, else I have to forgo getting Mahrez and thus three City players (I have 2 Arsenal defs which means I can't just get Odegaard for someone else).

Different for everyone I guess.
