Mahrez

Just after some thoughts

I have £8m left in my midfield slot and initially picked Mahrez over Foden

But I am having doubts about this pick - especially as he is in a low % of teams

Who would others choose Foden/Courtinho/Mount/Someone else?

Loads of people have Jesus but is that the right move? Similarly low ownership might help you get a good start. Mahrez has always scored well, will likely start and has good fixtures so good a pick as any of the City players.

I'm in the same boat. With Sterling gone surely he gets more consistent minutes and is starting. I like Diaz the most at 8.0 but I already have 3 Liverpool players and then I like Saka. But Mahrez is on par with both of them if he gets the gametime.

Currently I'm between Mount and Foden. Mount as the safe pick, Foden as the fun pick. Trying to convince myself this game is supposed to be about fun

It's a lottery between Mahrez and Foden... I expect I'll be flipping a coin at about 6pm! I think they'll both get more time now Sterling has gone

Don’t forget Alvarez can play there too.

It’s not such a problem because there are lots of options at £8m midfield so lots of exit routes if things fail early.

Likewise lots of premium defenders, so you can exit any picks that misfire without much stress.

Salah - Son - KDB are a bit of a limit for premium mids and Kane - Haaland are the only options for premium strikers.

Teams with both Kane and Haaland look a bit risky to me as it’s a double FT is either breaks.
