The denial of Jesus

Post by Mav3rick »

Is Gabriel Jesus in everyone's team? Or are there some (potential) sinners out there looking for a way to not pick him?

He's got high ownership but shouldn't be captained that much, so it looks a vector open to a differential pick (and I really do prefer an 8.0 slot in midfield), but finding an alternative, be that a budget striker or perhaps just a single striker, is proving nigh on impossible.

There's a poll if you wanna vote but not comment.

He's actually my first picks up top, but may not be the most expensive.

The current squad are well pleased with the apparently endless supply of fish, bread and wine 👏👏👏👏👏

I will be starting with him given the fixtures and the way he seems to have settled in quickly at Arsenal, but I can see quite a few strikers I would want at some point this season unlike in previous seasons so my original plan pre pricing was to forego the third striker slot. I won't be doing that now.

I doubt you'll find one of them.

I was thinking that. Surely, someone might have it as a middle name.

I've doubted Thomas since Brolin graced Elland Road.

I think Palace away is a tricky opener, and I’m favouring the 8m price point in midfield, so more than likely going to begin with a 5-4-1 or 4-5-1 with Kane leading the line. Second striker is Mitro currently for GW2 onwards (third is a 4.5).

That 451/541 setup with Kane has my attention too. Only thing slightly putting me off is the captaincy, but a perma-band on Salah is not the worst idea. Problem being if you extrapolate the logic then Kane is unnecessary too.

Just seems like good value when compared to similarly priced midfielders.

He's currently in my team as my expensive striker. He's clearly their best striker so shouldn't be rotated much. Arsenal usually score well. Their first three games may be trickier than many think but By no means awful.

Jesus and Salah for the boring pair or Nunez and Son to be a bit different, can't decide.

Jesus is in my first draft and survived my following drafts until now. He may not leave my team until the World Cup.

I though it was September from Haley's Comet, or similar.

I am surprised Darwin hasn't got a mention, seems the obvious choice if you are a Jesus denier.

I've got both, just in case.
