Can we please have extra special Leeds United coverage/commentary as they are winning me the Mirror Premier league this season.

Early matches fairly pointless (especially bigger teams) as the Internationals are only just coming back from their holibobs.

Liverpool's joined up this weekend and Klopp suggested they'll only get short cameos in game 1 on Tuesday. I'll go into the teams etc on detail on the Liverpool thread after the game.

Darwin Nunez comes on as a half time sub and scores 4, 1 of which was a pen while Salah was on the pitch!

My guess is that Nunez got the pen to break his duck, rather than being No 1 pen taker.

Yeah more than likely but with him being 4 mil cheaper than Salah and Diaz 5 mil I'm leaning further towards those 2 and no Mo.

Just watched the Nunez goals. Not sure how many of those would occur in a Prem game. 2 awfully sloppy bits of play from opposition, albeit created from Liv press, a pen almost saved and a very poor bit of goalkeeping for his 4th goal.

As others have said, these friendlies don't mean a lot, but must do something for his confidence. Price tag pressure might weigh on him now he's in a big pond, we'll see.

Could be both.

Martial does have a history of starting well for new managers at United. Only last 4 or 5 games though. But this could be his last chance to stay with a top team, he didn't impress on loan at Seville and if he fails this season at United I can't see any top teams being interested.

I said on the Manchester United thread, he has tremendous talent, it'll just take the right Manager to unlock it. If we don't sign another forward and he starts the season, he could be a major early bargain.
