Keeping it to football and lower division jobs, I struggle to see how they can get work permits.

There’s only 100(ish) professional management jobs in England. Fairly specialised, I’d say…

Well yeah, I said 100 or so as maybe half the Conference is full-time. Don’t expect it’s an issue much further down, can’t imagine Biggleswade United appointing a Brazilian boss.

Stranger things can happen, but I'm confident that the Govt isn't looking at this.

Anyway, interesting bunch of appointments in the division so far, alongside the FGR guy at Watford (who admittedly will do well to see Halloween still in the job).

Incidentally, Steve Bruce is now the oldest manager in charge of an English League club. Nobody left who was born before the ‘60s, and nearly half on the list are younger than me

“Barnsley confirm Duff head coach appointment”

I know they’ve been getting through quite a few, but actually admitting he’s rubbish from day one raises the bar… ;)

I think I will stick to the Women's Euro's & TDF until the Rams fate is known. Both those events will be completed before the new season begins.

Unlike the Sheepies’ takeover, you mean? ;) Is Cashley now the least bad option?

Anyway, guess I need to start hating Leicester again…

Fixtures are out… sure Derby fans are eagerly searching for their local derby. With Burton.

Expect a bunch of Google Maps searches for Forest Green, Fleetwood, Morecambe and Accrington as well.

now that forestfan has no immediate connection with any of the teams in The Champioonship, perhaps he comments in this thread just once a week and resists the temptation to gloat about his A52 near neighbours !

There won’t be much traffic in the “Champioonship” thread otherwise, needs a bit of help ;)

Well yeah, if it only happens every 23 years we have to make the most of it. And being two divisions (at least) above Direby makes it even better, though I am wary of what happened when that situation was reversed…

Strangely, was playing snooker in the bar this evening with some guy and he spotted the cue ball. I mentioned a points deduction and he walked off.

Maybe you're right!

Potted?

Of all the things I've thought to do in The Maldives from a private island with Angelina Jolie down, none have included snooker 😳

Relief at Pride Park. Looks like they have a backer plus a temporary manager. Players? Maybe the Northern League locals, Mickleover Sports will help out.
How will they fare in Div 1 without a points penalty ?

Who are they? Exactly :? Good to see it back on a proper channel anyway I suppose.

I realised recently by the way that last time we were in the Premier League, Des Lynam was still presenting MotD

Derby have a new owner… end to the saga for now? Sounds like a safe local option as opposed to someone coming in from abroad with big ambitions and equal amount of risk.

Well it looks like Tyler Roberts to QPR for 4m. This guy has not quite made it in the PL. Solid Championship player though. I think QPR have got a bargain. He's still young and there's a WC coming up. With luck, it could be a windfall. The best deal has been done by Millwall. Cresswell, a young defender with very high potential is taken on loan. At 19, this will be a good test for him. We'll find out if he's got it. I have a strong belief he has. There is another called Shackleton, Leeds lad but Championship wanted. Sound, solid player. No fancies though. I will be following their progress.
