Yeah, whether he has the experience to hit the ground running at that level is yet to be determined. If Kane and Son do get on the end of his crosses though, the generic satellite TV service is the limit…

Does it still work through a dish?

I would expect Conte to be impressed, from the little I've seen ie he's a bit better than Sess.

Unless you have one of those newfangled super-expensive all-in-one TV things, yes… well, you can stream via app as a subscriber anyway. Streaming is shite for live sport though, you see goals a minute after they actually happen!

Sessegnon is the cautionary tale. Nobody’s really nailed the FB/WB positions for a while at Spurs.

They keep getting linked with Maddi, and another AM is being mentioned.

Does this mean a move away from 343?

Spurs want Dan James… I presume they’re planning on entering a 4x100m relay team for the Paris Olympics, as it surely can’t be for footballing reasons.

I saw some bod doing some analysis of how they counter attacked and went on about pace...... Conte could convert him to a WB🤔🤔🤔

So, the Conte reign already coming to an end? Seems like neither he nor the club have any great desire to extend things, and performances like last night’s certainly won’t help, though suspect he will stay at least until 4th place is off the table (which with Liverpool’s current form probably won’t be too long, and wouldn’t rule out them being swallowed up by the likes of Brighton and Brentford on the run-in).

It looks a repeat of the Mourinho saga and I doubt they’ll go for another big-name “quick fix”. Some Spurs fans calling for Ryan Mason to be given the rest of the season… though he was responsible for perhaps the most shameful cup final non-performance I’ve ever seen, where they barely made it a training session for City, even if it was a bizarre decision for them to sack Jose days before it.

Thought we’d blown it when they got him and Woodward dithered over terminating Ole... but it might be one of the few decisions with good outcomes that Ed made.

Yeah, seemed like they’d got that call wrong at the time, but United clearly had the long-term vision… though he might have got them into the top four last season. Which would have meant going out of the CL in the last 16, with Spurs under Ten Hag still having a shot at a Euro eggcup (which they’d screw up regardless).

Well, we've got one Eggcup, I'd gladly take a second.

Anyway, I dredge up the Spurs thread from talking about Dan James (who never signed for them) and Djed Spence (who they’ve already loaned out I think) back in August… and it immediately becomes another Man Utd discussion

No manager, no DoF to pick one, and Kane wants out?

It could really turn to shite this summer?

Short term, Stellini has done ok when Conte was unavailable. Conte-lite without the constant nagging and distraction. So 4th place could still be on.

Yeah, they could find themselves in that mid-table nothingness along with the likes of Villa and Chelsea next season ;)

Not sure if Stellini will have any authority with the players given he was Conte’s sidekick. Guess we’ll see soon, results-wise…

Surely they can’t keep Stellini in charge any longer after today’s implosion? Too late to bring in a “permanent” manager before the end of the season and most likely scenario is just moving down the pecking order to Mason again… though there are definitely crazier options than handing it back to old ‘Arry for six games!

I hope they do.

It'd be just like this season for Spurs to bounce back and beat Man United on Thursday

If they lose, their top 4 race is done.

They’ll see Liverpool, Villa and Brighton sail past them at this rate, and have to rely on West Ham to get them in the Conference.

But yeah, United can always throw in a shocker, and for Spurs, while there’s Kane there’s hope. Though they deserve to be charged with false imprisonment if they don’t let him walk this summer.

I think winning yesterday is huge in this context. Helps the momentum. Going to Spurs for such a big game on the back of two bad cup defeats and I think we would collapse. But winning yesterday will make the players believe again.

Spurs (and Liverpool and Villa) have no hope of top 4 unless sombody implodes. Brighton (dropped 5 less points) can do it with a good run but that feels unlikely.
