Can get to 11 easily enough but don’t like the fixtures one bit and think there could be plenty upside to FH. Initial draft:
Pope (Foster)
Cancelo, Roberts, Livramento (Veltman, Tsmikas)
Son, Bruno, KDB, JWP (Ramsay)
Kane, Broja, Weghorst

Re: DGW 27 / FH 27 Transfers - Deadline 25/02 18:30
I think I will save the free hit to use in 30 instead (I have two FHs left) mainly because I think being decent in 30 will get my squad out of shape for the subsequent gameweeks. Barring injuries I would expect to do:
DCL -> Weghorst
Salah -> Son
My XI would be:
DDG
Cancelo, Dias, Reguilon
Son (v), Bowen, Raphinha, Brownhill
Weghorst (c), Jimenez, King
While not near a good FH team I think it’s competitive whereas I’m in awful shape for 30 as things stand. The current plan for 28 would be to do:
Bowen -> Salah
Weghorst -> Broja
This would give the following for 28:
Foster
TAA, Robbo, Cancelo
Salah, Son, Raphinha, Saka
Jiminez, King, Broja
This could all change if further DGW fixtures are announced of course and I still have the wildcard available.

Yup, FH in 30 gives me so much more flexibility. I'll probably WC soon after but timing may depend on any post-GW29 doubler announcements. Then I'll have my BB and my second FH to use.
Before that, I'm praying Salah doesn't punish me too much for gambling on Bruno as TC last week. I think it's too much to hope for Klopp to give him a rest.

You would have had a god chance of getting away with it before Spurs win at City. Now the Leeds game takes on more significance. I can't see Klopp resting anyone.

Guy in my minileague went FH this week. It really worked out for him. I thought I was in good shape with Arsenal and Liverpool, but it looks like that may have forced me down a less optimal road.

I'm undecided between the two as well. WCing right after FH seems inefficient. Players from Spurs, Saints, Leeds look good for medium-term and there are players in my team I want gone for good. Only thing in favour of FH+WC is Burnley double and Man City mauling Everton?

Thinking of bringing in one of these options for a hit, leaning towards option 1a
1 - Kane (form+fixtures+DGW29) + a) Willock (2x DGW) / b) Podence (fixtures + DGW28) / c) Cornet (DGW27)
or
2- Son (fixtures+DGW29) + Weghorst (DGW27)

I feel like i am in a grey area. Would you FH this team (I have 2 FHs and WC)?
DDG
Cancelo, Digne
Coutinho, Ramsey, Bowen
Dennis, Ronaldo, Antonio
bench: Ramsdale, White, TAA, Saka, Salah, Diop
For a 4 point hit i could do Antonio to Wout and Diop to a playing defender. I'd then have 10 playing (albeit not a great 10).

I think I'd FH that. Only beacuse you have two of them though. I think there's a probable 20 point gain as a mimimum, including the hit. Could be 30+ point gain.eastcentral1 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2022, 15:04 I feel like i am in a grey area. Would you FH this team (I have 2 FHs and WC)?

If the FH precedes a WC next week however, I'd not do it.

Re: DGW 27 / FH 27 Transfers - Deadline 25/02 18:30
I'm still undecided on FH27, waiting to see what happens tonight and tomorrow.
I can currently get ten players out, it's not the best team and will very likely lose out to those that FH but not sure if the FH could be better used at some other point.
No Burnely, No United, and only Cancelo from City are the main issues against what will be the template FH team. Those two Burnely games could both be low scoring and I can see Leicester scoring in the 2nd fixture. United will be playing a parked RH bus on the back of a tough away game in Spain, and although I expect City to maul Everton it would be typical that KDB and Bernardo get the hauls when I've got Mahrez and Sterling!
If I don't FH I would probably bring in Broja and/or JWP and possibly even Son for Salah with a view of keeping Son for GW28 and then getting Salah back in 29.

It does seem wrong doesn't it? I just don't know what to do.SirMattBugsby wrote: ↑23 Feb 2022, 12:41I'm undecided between the two as well. WCing right after FH seems inefficient. My original plan was to do a couple of transfers so that I could get 11 players plus Weghorst. That was before the GW 28 and 29 doubles were announced so, although I'm in reasonable shape this week, I have no Spurs or Southampton players and next week doesn't look great.
Maybe I could take a hit or two (for Son and Broja perhaps) and FH in 28...

Was going to do ESR -> Ramsey and Johnson -> Livramento for a -4 to get 11 out, but that includes Ait-Nouri, Watkins, and Edouard which since I hatched the plan feels rather less safe than it did. Will probably free-hit now as I can get a decent GW28 out, and will have 2 FT's to tweak it.

FH active, busy tomorrow so won't have a real chance to do it then.
Template but hey:
Pope
Mee / Cancelo / Bednarek
Son / JWP / Mahrez / Bruno
Kane / Broja / Weghorst (c)

Re: DGW 27 / FH 27 Transfers - Deadline 25/02 18:30
As it stands I can put out 9 players without using the FH. I have only have one FH left and will likely need that for GW30 or whenever the next FA Cup games are but I've had two really good weeks and don't want to lose momentum by playing a poor XI against free hitters.
Likely transfers will be Salah to Son and Webster to Livramento (-4). Could also do Dennis to Weghorst for (-8).
Is there a solid argument for using the FH and somehow putting a team out in GW30?

Just read Dyche has said Cornet is touch and go for the Palace game, but at least that gives some hope he’s not fully ruled out. I’d be hoping he starts the Leicester game at least.RuudTheDudeVanTheMan wrote: ↑20 Feb 2022, 09:56 Plan is to save the FH as I have 11 this week but if Cornet and Dennis are injured that may change. If they're both fit I might just do Salah City mid/Son or maybe Lacazette Weghorse so I can bench Keane.

Still chewing over whether to FH or not this week. I have both FHs left. Wildcard already played.
With BB and TC still available, not inclined to play FH in a big double.
Originally thought wouldn't do FH in GW30 as I'll have 3 x Arse and Wolves anyway by then plus Ramsay plus 1 from Sot/WHU. Plus 2 or 3 transfers. But not too fussed about many other players that week.
FH now giving max exposure to Man C, Man U, Tot and Sot? But Man C rotation and Man U and Tot Jeckyll and Hyde?
Or can keep FH and get 11 out by moving either Saka or 1 Liv out. Originally thought Saka but initial target of Cornet doubtful and not so keen now anyway. So probably Robertson to Mee then on to someone else for next few. Enables Son to Jota and Striker to Kane option if I'm inclined in a few weeks.
Keeps FH for 30 or later.
But this week's fixtures not great for a lot of my squad.
It's making my head hurt and too much time thinking about it.

I'm not sure quite what to do either - I've got 2xFH, WC & BB to go.
There's still 7 games to be rescheduled + whatever additional due to FA Cup so I'm thinking of holding fire on any chips until we get a better lay of the land wrt the TBAs. I can put a team out for GW27 but it could do with a couple of changes at least.

X / Foster
Cancelo / Mee / Pieters / Livramento / X
Bruno / Sterling / Son / X / X
Kane / Weghorst / Broja
£21.8 to spend on four Xs
GK - DDG or Forster
DEF - will most likely be someone cheap, £4.5 or below
MID - Mahrez, Foden or JWP as 4th mid, 5th mid and 5th def depends on who I choose here

It's also ability, with Burnley looking better defensively again, to have 2 defenders (I have Weghorst who I might retain for budgetary if no other reasons) on a FH this week. A couple of extra games now negates some of the advantage of FH30 if you can't get a full team out.Edgeways wrote: ↑25 Feb 2022, 10:59 Still chewing over whether to FH or not this week. I can field 11 this week so will use the FH to maximise the DGW 28 instead.
