Werner and Lukaku start for Chelsea, but I can't bring myself to bring either in - mainly as I'd probably pick the wrong one!

Too much too soon. Reeks of early substitutions with a semi final in the week and City away next weekend.

Re: TFF chit chat FA Cup 3rd round weekend
SUNDAY 9TH JANUARY
Charlton Athletic 14:00 Norwich City
Five 2pm games this Sunday, first up is Charlton Athletic and Norwich City. Charton at a League One outfit, 14th and haven't won for a few games. Norwich as we all know are bottom of the Premier League. Are they likely to be resigned to relegation (they're only 3 points off 17th but play more games than Burnley/Watford) and therefore give the FA Cup a decent go?
Liverpool 14:00 Shrewsbury Town
Next it is Liverpool versus Shrewsbury Town at Anfield. The Carabao Cup tie in mid-week as cancelled due to Covid but hopefully this tie will go ahead. Liverpool will be without their talisman, Salah, as he's now travelled to the AFCON as has Mane. Alisson, Firmino, Matip all out with illness. Shrewsbury are 15th in League One.
Tottenham Hotspur 14:00 Morecambe
The third of the 2pm games is Tottenham Hotspur versus Morecambe. Spurs played and lost in the Carabao Cup in midweek, losing to Chelsea 2-0. Big news is that Son will be missing til the end of the month with injury, Bergwijn may be back soon though. Morecambe are in the relegation zone in League One so will probably be looking at avoiding relegation not FA Cup glory.
West Ham United 14:00 Leeds United
An all Premier League tie next, West Ham United against Leeds United. The Hammers form has picked up again recently, they've won their last two and are back up to 5th. Benrahma is at AFCON but there is a chance Creswell may be back. Leeds are likely to be more interested in Premier League survival rather than a Cup run. Bamford may get a run out today.
Wolverhampton Wanderers 14:00 Sheffield United
The last of the 2pm matches features Wolverhampton Wanderers v Sheffield United. Wolves are eight place and in decent form at present. Saiss is at the Africa Cup of Nations, Jonny may be fit though. Sheffield United are currently 13th in the Championship and are in fantastic form at the moment, four win and a draw in their last 5 games.
Nottingham Forest 17:10 Arsenal
One late game this Sunday, Nottingham Forest against Arsenal. Forest are 9th in the Championship but come into this game after back-to-back defeats. Arsenal are currently 4th in the Prem and may prioritise league position over an FA Cup run so expect a second string team today. Pepe, Partey, Elneny and Aubameyang are all away at AFCON.
MONDAY 10TH JANUARY
Manchester United 19:55 Aston Villa
And finally, the Monday night fixture is between Manchester United and Aston Villa at Old Trafford. An all Premier League clash so expect fairly strong sides. Manchester United are 7th and lost to Wolves last time out. Bailly at AFCON, Maguire injured. The mighty Villa, who lie in 13th, have signed Philippe Coutinho on loan from Barcelona but lost Bert Traore and Trezeguet to international duty.

Re: TFF chit chat FA Cup 3rd round weekend
Alisson, Firmino and Matip could all be back as their isolation period ended on Thursday of Friday if their tests were negative (Klopp too).
Multiple cases reported in midweek but no idea who (other than Pep Leinders (sp?) our asst manager).
I expect mostly kids but it is the biggest lottery going. Tyler Morton posted something online so him + 10 others is my best guess.

Murf why not play the kids v Arsenal rather than have another fixture later. Don’t LFC normally play the kids in the league cup anyway ?

V
3rd Round. Shrewsbury.
Plus everyone else has the lurgy or is recovering from illness/injury!
I have since read that Matip could be fit and we have recalled a loan player who will be in the squad. This is allegedly Leighton Clarkson, a midfielder who was at Blackburn.

Can't really help you tbh. I have Ramsdale anyway but no idea if will play or not.
Vaguely related qu, am I correct in thinking we have to get these done before the initial 12.30 kickoff with Luton/Harrogate as only 90mins till the 2pm's then? If so I'll just have to do blind now and get a good nights sleep instead of getting up for it (maybe)?
