AFCON
Anyone else, struggling to keep a handle on who is leaving and when (and in due course who is returning and when)?
It sounds like Salah will still be available for Chelsea and then he disappears.
Nobody seems to know if Dennis is going or not, although given he is in my team I fully expect him to disappear?
Anyone know anything about Mendy (asking with my SkyFF hat on here)?

Re: AFCON
I’ve just been trying to find info on Dennis, with no luck. It seems that the squad size has been increased from 24 to 28. As far as I could see, Dennis was not in the original 24, but I suppose he may make one of the extra places. But I don’t know when this will be announced, or even whether Dennis is still “active” in terms of international football. Surprising how difficult it is to find this stuff.

Re: AFCON
Just after I took him out in preparation for him being absence.
"Watford head coach Claudio Ranieri batted away questions over Emmanuel Dennis' absence at the African Cup of Nations, which would see him leave for international duty after Saturday's game with Tottenham, by suggesting the club's top goalscorer may not be released at all."

Re: AFCON
I've got this crazy idea, might not sell Salah at all, how low do you think his value will drop. Bought him for 12,5 so now I'll get 12,6 and if I sell I'll have to get him back anyway. Got a pretty strong midfield: Jota-Mount-Bowen-Bilva, (forw Kane-Dennis-Antonio + def DDG-Guaita/Laporte-Canc-Johnson-Livra-White). Is this completely mad idea, anyone else thinking same?

Re: AFCON
I don't think it is a mad idea, but I imagine that the most it would cost you to sell and then buy him back is 0.1 and it may be zero or a small gain. It doesn't seem worth having so much value on the bench for the duration on such a marginal call.

Re: AFCON
This whole business with Dennis stinks. Even if Watford have the Nigerian FA on a technicality, to prevent a player going to an international tournament he wants to compete in is unprofessional and disrespectful. What's more, they need him to play well for the rest of the season to have a chance of staying up. I hope this backfires for them.

Yeah, and they're trying the same stunt with Sarr now too.

Re: AFCON
Will bite them on the arse as Dennis will sulk and/or come to hate the club and hence they'll be relegated and he'll be sold for less.Pirlo's Beard wrote:+1eastcentral1 wrote: ↑03 Jan 2022, 17:42 This whole business with Dennis stinks. Re: AFCON
Completely agree Watford are out of line. This can't be a completely unusual scenario where countries make late call ups for squads. The player will be disaffected so for the sake of keeping him for 2 or 3 games they have probably lost him in the long term

Re: AFCON
Remember other players may have DGWs in that time too so it's more than 3/4 games in effect.Bull's eye wrote: ↑03 Jan 2022, 15:40 I've got this crazy idea, might not sell Salah at all, how low do you think his value will drop.
