LAST 32 PLAY OFF - FINAL(ish) SCORES

The top 14 get byes ..... but who they are could be wrong!

DEFINITE BYES
murf 7
Ard Viking 6
bluenosey 6
dickypick 6
eagle224 6
morganb 6
scopsm 6
steve foster 6
Spinynorman 5
sportsmeister 5

NOT SURE YET
Malrom 4
Mick MacPaddywack 4
yorkshiredragon 4
forestfan 3
Not showing on the weekly scoreboard - there have been issues recently with new teams not showing up, did you pick?
Jamjack 0 or 3? (manual check suggests 3 points)
Stena Bib 0? (manual check suggests nothing....)
theo29 0? (manual check suggests only pickedlast 2 games for 0 points)
LATE ENTRY, PLAYING IN FIRST ROUND
Oxford NZ

If my manual checks are right then those on 4 are safely Bye-d and there is a tie-break between forestfan and Jamjack.
First level of tie-break is a tie because they both got the same 3 points for predicting wins for Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City.
Second level of tie-break is a tie because they both picked Chelsea to win 2-0 but going down a place Jamjack wins for picking Liverpool to win 3-0 over forestfan's 2-0 (it was 5-0)

IF the above is right then the 4 teams in action this weekend will be-
forestfan
Stena Bib
theo29
Oxford NZ
(I'll do the draw later if/when the latecomers' scores are confirned)

Hi Murf, those were my predictions. Do you need me to do anything? Screen shot? Sworn affidavit?

Kick me into the play off if easier 🤣

Thanks for confirming!

The 'easier' thing is a fixed bug....

At least I have worked out how to manually check which, I guess, is ok til the bug is fixed. Assuming my manual scores are ok for the other 2.

I only read as far as the bold type:

You won't have to do anything extra to participate in this cup other than SIGN UP BELOW and then do your regular 'FISO Goals' Premiership Predictions for the league.

Jamjack 3*
PLAYING IN FIRST ROUND
forestfan 3*

Oxford NZ late entry

* there was a tie-break between forestfan and Jamjack.

LAST 32 DRAW

A draw for a small, ragtag bunch of low scorers, failed pickers and late entries is clearly beneath Kylie so it was left to me to fumble the balls in the velvet e-bag all on my own.

forestfan v Stena Bib
Oxford NZ v theo29

Two legs, home and away, first named at home this weekend. Away goals settle ties.

Kylie and murf's Premiership Predictions "Festive" Knockout Cup 2021 is GO!

Brilliant predicting from theo 8-) . Less so from Stena Bib and Oxford NZ who thought Villa would get a draw

Everybody picked :D

(PS Bug is still in system so our newbies aren't showing on any leaderboards but scores are findable)

Thanks for the ball fumbling murf. It was too much of distraction though and it could take me a while to recover :)
Predicting a draw after ball tampering is usually a fair outcome with very little extra time to take into consideration.
Congratulations theo on the good start, but this is a game of two halves and my second leg has less collateral damage to slow it down so bring on your A game :)

LAST 32 PLAY OFF - 2ND LEG SCORES

Stena Bib 3 v 8 forestfan (aggregate 9 v 16)
theo29 10 v 4 Oxford NZ (aggregate 19 v 10)

Two utimately easy wins with forestfan and theo29 both winning home and away. In fact of 31 pickers this week they came top and (equal) second.

Enough of this early preliminary stuff. Time to get real..... the last 16 is now complete and Kylie is indeed in the house for the draw.

Kylie will be drawing the home teams and, in honour of Climate Awareness Week and COP 26, Great Thurnberg has popped down from Glasgow (after one final selfie) to draw the away teams.

LAST 16 - LEG 1 - DAY 2 SCORES

Ard Viking 1 v 1 steve foster
forestfan 1 v 1 yorkshiredragon
dickypick 1 v 2 theo29
murf 4 v 4 bluenosey
morganb 4 v 4 sportsmeister
eagle224 4 v 0 Jamjack (yes he did pick!)
scopsm 4 v 1 Mick MacPaddywack
Spinynorman 3 v 1 Malrom

Not many points around but 6 players did score 4 points. Unfortunately for 4 of the 6 (including me) our opponents did too. eagle224 and scopsm opening good leads with their home advantage.

Only theo29 (with a paltry 2-1) is leading of the away teams who didn't get the lucky touch of Kylie on their balls (during the draw).

morganb 5 v 8 sportsmeister

Spinynorman 4 v 2 Malrom

I hate Greta Thurnberg. After I gave her the honour of picking the away teams, how dare she draw me out the opponent who top scored this week. Bitch.

I'm the 4th highest scorer but I'm still 6-9 down when there are a couple of flukey 3-2 winners out there.

2nd legs this week, reverse fixtures, aggregate scores decide it, if not then away goals count (not much chance for me to outdo a 9 on that one....)

A 4-3 half time lead for me pulls it back to 12-10 so if I get 2 exact picks and win tomorrow 6-4 then I scrape through on away goals. 3-1 or 4-2 and I go out the same way.

Congratulations to scopsm who is through to the Quarter Finals with an unassailable 8 points lead over Mick MacP. Jamjack is also in trouble needing a 6-0 win today over eagle224 but the other 6 games are all close(ish) with overturnable leads of 1-3 points.
