my best team is on 291 with Vardy in it, first time I have been able to play TFF so finding it challenging :( in that there are no emergencies like FPL has, you just have to accept it in TFF that if you pick teams that rotate you don't have a backup :( .

I would have been in if I hadn't thought Raphina had been replaced by Raphael Dias Belloli and bought Jiota in two weeks ago. Worse than a schoolboy error. 286 here, 2 trannys used.

don't pay that much attention to this game but my best team is only just on 300 in 5200 position or so, only 5 transfers used, am I right to assume those teams in the top 50 have used at least 10 transfers ?

Most have, yes. My 4 active teams are only averaging 4 or 5 used (293-321 pts) so similar to you and I'm happy enough with that.

The TFF weekly e-mail often gives you average transfers used for top 100, top 1000 etc. The last data was quoted on this week's TFF Chit Chat thread. Think from memory that the top 100 are on about 18 transfers (average).

EDIT - Here you go. Transfers used (data from before the weekend)

- Top 100 - 19.62
- Top 1,000 - 13.27
- Top 10,000 - 8.18

Anyone got 5 members of this club?

I've got 3 and the other is just 4 points off. 5th team is temporarily inactive (Highlander) so we'll ignore that

Just the 1. Finding it all a bit of a slog this season. Normally by now I'd have an idea what I wanted my teams to be looking like, where each was going, and weighing up how many transfers it was worth for each etc. This season I don't really have a clue, just chucking mud at a wall and seeing what sticks.

There's not enough non-defenders I fancy as long term bankers...usually it's trying to squeeze in as many as possible from a long list.

I did think cheap defenders and expensive attackers was the answer but now my expensive attackers are blanking and I want more Chelsea and Citeh defenders!

For me this year, forward planning of transfers has felt more like a game of draughts than a game of chess  .

When you upgrade a player he then goes backwards?

That’s about right. And they haven’t lasted long before being taken from the board.

Injuries you can take and react to after they've happened, but rotation is an absolute killer and it feels like it's never been more in use. Which is another kick in the teeth for an 11 a side fantasy game. Perhaps alongside the enablers thread we could have the "I think this player will start 35+ games (if fit)" thread.

Billy Gilmour would have (wrongly) been on both of those threads!

You expect it and can take it when your Citeh attackers get rotated but it is indeed a kick in the teeth when those enablers get rotated or possibly (but you just can't be sure!) dropped - all you want is a steady 2pts a week and the odd bonus to cheer you up.

With you on the rotation frustration! The Chelsea defence looks like a potential bandwagon from now but there is probably 1 player that is reasonably nailed on to start. One! Feels like chasing shadows!
