Grrr...this weeks transfer in, just seen he is flagged now...but on the flip-side, Gundogan is first sub

The toe is/was broken and it was a muscle injury that had him subbed.

Nuno on Son's injury
"Like some of our players came with issues. Sonny is not so well. Let's wait for the club to make the announcement.

[Is it long-term?] I don't know. Let's wait and see. The doctors will make the analysis."

And will that announcement be any time today ffs?!

Sounds pretty negative. Think I'm going to have to get rid. Probably means No-naldo for me then.

OGS on Ronaldo: "He will get on the pitch at some point (tomorrow) that’s for sure. Cristiano and Raphael comes in and there is no place to hide with winners like that. You can’t give 95% in training when you have winners like them."

Nuno's move to spurs hasn't stopped him being a vague, annoying prick in every press conference has it?

Reading between the lines as best I can, I think son misses this gameweek and it may or may not be long term. As I was losing him after this week anyway, I think I'll bring that move forward.

As for OGS, Ronaldo may or may not start. More inclined to think not starting judging by the way he worded it. What do others think?

Tend to agree on both Ronaldo & Sonaldo. I was looking to move on Son this week regardless, this just makes it easier.

Agreed, I heard the wording as Ronaldo comes off the bench. Given the Man U comms to date on Ronaldo’s return, having a moment that is definitely just about Ronaldo would also work well (although taking him off would too, I guess).
Enough to not bring him in for a hit? - Yae, it’s a hold this week for me and assess next week

What's everyone's reading of Rafa's comments on DCL. I think Rafa said he did well playing through pain & should be okay now.

Everton play on Monday so that's 16 days rest. Surely good to go?

That said he may not be a 90 minute man anymore with Rondon in the mix

yeah, i'd guess DCL plays. i was thinking of taking a hit to bring him in and play him instead of a cheap defender. but not so sure now.

I think on the OGS quote about Ronaldo I would highly recommend people watch the interview rather than just read the quote. There's a little cheeky grin as he says about getting on the pitch which makes me think he'll start and so that's a Ronaldo (C) for me.

That is the bit that put me off, tbh, and I think the 60-65th minute standing ovation etc was in his mind.

Can take him off after his hattrick for that 8-)
I wouldn't be surprised if Ole is contractually obliged to play him every game he wants to play.

Indeed, Sky have been running a segment where Ronaldo tells Wes Brown he’ll be putting pressure on Ole to start against Newcastle. Would Ole risk frustrating his marque before he even gets going?

And, even if he didn’t start, like you I’d still fancy Ronaldo to return in 30 mins against a tiring Newcastle at home.

Sorry, I’m flip-flopping here!!

Yep, but I think the point is to have/own him as if he more than blanks than his price will rise at least once this GW.
