Gameweek 19 - not as much COVID chaos but enough damage in this game as those going for the Liverpool players suffered from their postponement. The top 3 in the league all suffered with that.

I thought I'd made a mistake as I initially believed I'd picked Reece James, but as it turns out I chose Jorginho and that gave me the top score of the week as I climbed up to second in the table

The second half of the 21/22 FPL season begins

Richt betrayed his first love Mo Salah, and cheated on him with probably the worst player he could in Mo's eyes - Ronaldo.
It was smart move as it netted him his 7th GW top score. Well done sir!

Liverpool let a lot of players down this week.
Chris2k_11 was the only other player to get a double digit return with Phil Foden

Is that table right or am I confused? ... you have me down for 11 when it should be 8 and Chris on 6 when he, as you say, got 11.

It seems ages since I posted the GW21 thread, DGW matches spread after the FA Cup weekend making it a long one.

Last postponements impacted some - unlucky chaps.
Others didn't generate the returns expected.

It was a bunch of late picks for West Ham players that reaped the benefits, none more than yours truly who bagged a massive 21 points so move within 30 of richt at the top of the table.

With 22 also a DGW and some big names away at AFCON it could be another interesting week ahead!

GW22 in the books. Yet more postponement nightmares impacting choices.

Not for f4c though - Bruno returned points galore with a huge 23 over his 2 games.
albert_ini was the only other playerto make it into double figures.

F4c jumps into the top 3 with his score this week. richt's lead is under 30 now!

It seems like it has been ages since I had to do an update

Such a poor week in general with only 2 players getting a score where a player has returned more than basic scores
Gotta feel for hayesag with the first pick. An obvious choice for probably, but the red card was a disaster as it negated the DGW opportunity.

OK, first things first - how embarrassing is it that the admin of the bloody game forgets to make a pick

I wasn't the only one though as only 13 entries were submitted this gameweek.

Some good scores were registered with 4 double digit returns. None better that Dino1980 opting for Jota

So a lot of players went with the DGW options of Manchester Utd or Brighton.
In general it paid off with double digit returns for Bruno, CR7 and DDG.
Others not so lucky .
Pep-roulette was back in full effect as they prepared for that nightmare tie against Sporting

hayesag top the top GW score, their first of the season. Picking first worked well!
Richt has re-established a solid gap with a couple of solid GWs as dino1980 moved to the head of the chasing pack.

GW26 - what a week!

I had dubbed it the 'Race For Salah' and whilst that did prove to be the case, there were so many great scores this week.

No-one can be surprised that Richt got Salah first. He really must be stalking me lol
I was so tempted to pick first, but I just felt it wouldn't be in the spirit of the game. I play at a reasonable opportunity

But there were 10 scores that made it to double figures, so plenty for folk to be pleased with.

Richt still leading at the top as the gameweeks start to run low for those in the chasing pack.

After a cracking GW26, GW27 did not match up to it at all.

AlbionJulie got the only double digit return for her first GW High Score of the season - congratulations!

60 point lead for richt at the top

GW28 presented some DGW opportunities and it paid off for some and not for others

richt has recently given away his secret, but he didn't need it this week - top score after picking 5th
That's his 9th top score in 28 weeks and a 70 point lead looks pretty solid now.

2 GWs update in 1!

GW29 - the DGW for several teams provided an opportunity for big returns and 6 of you manged to reach double digits
Dino1980 took top honours with Andy Robertson scoring 18

GW30 - with only 8 teams playing there was less to choose from. Still managed to get 4 of you finding double digits hauls, with ajcairns getting Son's 15 points. Commiserations to woody71 who can consider himself unlucky to return -2

Richt still way clear, but dion1980 moves into 2nd place

GW33 had a few doubles

Richt was quick off the mark as usual, but it was a bad choice as Maddison failed to deliver.
Bet he wishes he'd gone with his usual pick which f4c duly obliged to take next. 19 points and GW top score.

Notable mentions for albert_ini and woody71 for getting double digit returns

In the table to real battle is for 2nd which I currently occupy due to more GW Top Scores than albert_ini

For GW34 dino1980 turned the name of the game on its head and didn't pick quick, but what he did was pick well!
Alonso gave him the top GW score of 19 - no-one predicted the return of Jesus to form.

Sadly I've had to discount albert_ini's pick this week as we have multiple James in the game so I don't know which one it is. Sorry!
4 GWs left...

A fairly standard GW (ie no doublers).

Richt went missing for a wee while.
Son is the new Salah and a great score of 19 for RomynPG for their 2nd GW high score of the season. Defending the title was going to be difficult, but glad to see you still keeping at it.

Not a lot else to report. When will I post for this massive DGW? Well I'm away with work for a couple of days so that could skew things a bit :)

Big DGW in 36 and plenty of big scores and table moves.

RomynPG in quick and correctly - nailing KDB for 30 points, the highest GW score of the season.
Richt in 2nd, but Salah didn't deliver for him, but top spot is assured
ajcairns got a great return from Sterling to leap onto the podium
Notable mentions for hayesag, albionjulie, dino1980 and ralfbergs who also found double digit gems

2 GWs to go

The penultimate week is done and with some DGW players we had some big scores posted.
chris2k_11 got top mark with the 8th pick - Maddison a sound choice!
Double digit returns for richt and albert_ini as well

ralfbergs would also have had a double digit, but not for the first time this season which Barnes was being declared was not noted. Ashley got 10 and Harvey 17, but rules are rules. Sorry!

richt still well clear and will likely cross the 300 point barrier. Amazing job sir!
dino1980, ajcairns and albert_ini appear to be the ones to fight it out for the remaining podium spots as my challenge has faltered somewhat over the past few weeks

So we're finally here, the 21/22 season is done

Can't say we had last day drama compared to the actual league finish, but hey ho, you can't win em all.
Chelsea let a few down and a lot of the usual names didn't return big.

Final top score of the week goes to Hayesag - picking Son quick was definitely the right way to go.
richt and f4c the only others to choose players who got into double figures

So the final table is below. No surprise that we've crowning richt as this seasons winner. A phenomenal performance is getting Salah for the weeks where he did top notch and 69 point margin of victory shows the dominance this season. Well done sir!

The podium is completed by dino1980 and ajcairns - congrats to you both

We'll be back next season, it's only 11 weeks or so away I believe!
