With your record I might just follow your advice!![]()
Two wins and a fourth place in the last three seasons needs to be listened to - seriously, what's your secret?!
It's "my" game in a way!Jester wrote: 12 Aug 2021, 00:49 I can't promise to keep it up but I've entered my predictions for the first couple of weeks.
Thanks for the nudge Malrom!![]()
A wonderful mug, it could be yours!Jester wrote: 12 Aug 2021, 13:47 If you've played before please note predictions can now be made right up to kick-off for each game - used to be an hour before.
Anyone who hasn't played - give it a go! Only takes a few minutes and you can predict several weeks in advance if you wish, so avoiding the 'weekly chore' aspect of some games....
Most importantly - the winner gets a FISO mug!!!!!![]()
I tend to go for standard scorelines which have the highest probabilities of occuring , 2-1, 1-1, 0-1 etc. If you look at overall statistics, these scorelines tend to crop up the most.Jester wrote: 12 Aug 2021, 21:13bluenosey wrote: 12 Aug 2021, 21:07 I see a lot of 4-4 draws for the opening weekend but don't let my free tips influence your score predictions![]()

I'm not quite sure what happened to FKC. Would be great to have him back, really spice things upJester wrote: 12 Aug 2021, 21:16Jester wrote: 12 Aug 2021, 21:13bluenosey wrote: 12 Aug 2021, 21:07 I see a lot of 4-4 draws for the opening weekend but don't let my free tips influence your score predictions![]()

Did you start by persuading flyingkillercob to jack it in - the four seasons prior to your run saw him finish first and second twice each!!
Definitely not all about luck then!

At the end of last season, it did seem like most at the top were adopting the same strategy and I couldn't pull back Murf's lead. That meant I had to adopt a different strategy of going for a 2-1, even if the obvious result was 2-0. The cards just didn't quite fall for me but I aim to be giving the sheep a run for his money this time![]()

This is in fact murf's game I believe? I think it evolved from his manual predictions game - he ought to be good at it then!!![]()
I remember someone going 1-0 for all games at one point but in reality that isn't such a common scoreline is it? Result perhaps but not score - could be lots of one pointers is better than a couple of threes?
I just checked up on FKC and he's not been on here since September last year - hope he's OK and just lost his fantasy mojo...

Gazwood used to adopt a 1-0 strategy for each game in Spencer's predictions when he used to play. It served him pretty well as I recall and it is surprising how often you get a nailed on home win which should be 3 or 4 nil, and only ends up being a squeeky one niller.
