The Hull goal? Didnβt touch it apparently, credited to the player who crossed it.
3pm Saturday for the first leg it seems, does that mean it canβt be televised, as PL and other leagues still going?
Luton. I'm nearly certain this is what happened:
Ended up 0-4...to Barnsley. Neil Shipperley scored two. Can still remember it well but had forgotten. Thanks Blahblahblah wrote: β07 May 2022, 14:36 Despite all our play off angst, Trevor Francis's Birmingham losing 0-3 at home in the first leg always has me almost giggling.
We were awesome at Wembley when we won, which kinda helped get over the defeats - especially Kendall's SU kicking the shite out of our footballers on a bone has rd pitch where their Rob Andrew style had the ball bouncing ridiculously high
Yeah, obviously VAR would have sorted itblahblah wrote: β07 May 2022, 15:03Luton. I'm nearly certain this is what happened:
Ball crossed from the left with CF offside
GK collects the cross and CF ends up in the goal
GK drops ball to the ground to hoof it
CF runs in front of GK, collects the ball and scores

Yeah, we were 3 down after about 25 mins. I still remember the shell shock at the back of the Tilton in the bar at half time.blahblah wrote: β07 May 2022, 15:18My pleasurebluenosey wrote: β07 May 2022, 15:15Ended up 0-4...to Barnsley. Weren't the 3 really early on?
I thought so. I remember it being jaw-dropping and never liked/rated Francis.bluenosey wrote: β07 May 2022, 15:24Yeah, we were 3 down after about 25 mins. I hated the play offs until we beat Norwich on pens. We lost something like 9-8 on pens to Watford, then Barnsley next year, then conceded in the very last minute to Preston the year after, when Trev had his strop. However that seems like success compared to our current form as perennial championship relegation survivors
It was against already relegated Scunthorpe in their last EFL game for the foreseeable future, so not that surprisingβ¦ Itβs Cobblers for Northampton, who started the day in a promotion place, are winning 3-1 and still set to miss out!

No, itβs true
Absolutely and the biggest problem with the national team is we never made him England managerforestfan wrote: β08 May 2022, 11:14 Seems crazy now, winning a title on the beach because youβve played your last game before everyone else. Even with the disruption of this season, it still looks like all the final games will kick off together!
For a manager to take two clubs like Forest and Derby to league titles (and beyond), even in that era, is still barely believable. For all your debate over Shanklys, Paisleys, Busbys and Fergusons (and even Pep v Klopp v Jose etc. in more modern times), Clough really was a one-off.
I donβt know how well that would have worked really, he and the FA wouldnβt have got along for 5 minutes, I expect he was someone who thrived on the day-to-day side of management and it wasnβt a great era of talent anyway. Would have been fun to watch though!bluenosey wrote: β08 May 2022, 11:17Absolutely and the biggest problem with the national team is we never made him England managerforestfan wrote: β08 May 2022, 11:14 Seems crazy now, winning a title on the beach because youβve played your last game before everyone else. Was that the season Leeds had to play their first few home games at places like Molineux and Leeds Road? The FA never liked Clough or Leeds for that matter.forestfan wrote: β08 May 2022, 11:14 Seems crazy now, winning a title on the beach because youβve played your last game before everyone else. The ref Mr Tinkler. Gave an offside goal to WBA and Arsenal nicked the title. Technically, a suited up Leeds fan running on to the pitch to remonstrate with the ref.forestfan wrote: β08 May 2022, 11:59Not old enough to remember, was that down to hooliganism or something else?jimmy ching wrote: β08 May 2022, 11:50Was that the season Leeds had to play their first few home games at places like Molineux and Leeds Road? Interesting, hadnβt heard that story. Welcome back to the EFL thread by the way, hopefully Iβll be a neutral observer next season as you battle to rejoin the big timejimmy ching wrote: β08 May 2022, 16:05The ref Mr Tinkler. You've got to blunt the Blades first, then get your udders feeled. Difficult situation for both of our teams.forestfan wrote: β08 May 2022, 16:20Interesting, hadnβt heard that story.
