First mention seen of this at the end of the games available list, "coming soon". £20 buy in, £200,000 top prize. Noted in the rules details that it's a maximum 100 teams per user.
Fanteam £1m Premier League 21/22

Re: FanTeam £1m Premier League 2021/22
imo really not a good idea to spread prizes out so thinly, should make prizes top heavy or heavier
what was the max in the game just finished or was it unlimited ?

Re: FanTeam £1m Premier League 2021/22
Don't recall seeing a restricted maximum number of teams allowed this year; but ffstuffs site shows over 50 players with more than 50 entries, 10 with 200 or more entries. In former times a restriction such as this would have encouraged some punters to set up extra accounts under related names perhaps, not so easy now thanks to GDPR. I'm sure a few will try to get around this, but we've all found that fanteam are quite strict re verification.

Agree Aurora, increase prizes for top 10 or even top 20 and scrap the lower payouts

Re: FanTeam £1m Premier League 2021/22
Paid down to about think 5,650 last season , I know this because my 4th team just missed out. I think top prize should still be £200k though but spreading down to 9,000 odd is good

Re: FanTeam £1m Premier League 2021/22
There was a really good player called ‘Nobody’ last year and I’m sure he entered like 200 teams and he had shit loads of teams in the top 100 and got well over 100k back so think this may have something to do with the 50 team limit this year.

nobody did well but otherwise the mass entrants crashed and burned. I was quite happy with them boosting the kitty as in such a long comp the advantage of multi entries is much reduced as compared to short haul comps.

Yep... In paid entry games we need the mass entries.. You just need to outplay them

I remember seeing sandor had 200 teams in at the start of last season and I thought, great that will be hard to compete against he must have had a massive loss as I didn't see any of his teams near the top at the end!

Re: FanTeam £1m Premier League 2021/22
Details in the support pages re the coming season; doesn't look as though there will be monthly or weekly prizes, but instead there's a list of "highest score in a single gameweek", and teams which play more than once per week won't count. Seems to be more of a random game element imho, so I'm not in favour. No obvious other changes in game structure, they've been posting this as "coming soon" but would expect launch very soon after PL fixtures announced and late registration for the big euro game has finished.

Note also that late registration is allowed until start of gameweek 2 (it was i think gameweek 4 last term), with 95% of average points (very pertinent to current discussion elsewhere). No mention at the end of the article as to whether or not these rules might change.

Re: FanTeam £1m Premier League 2021/22
I believe there was no restriction in last years prem game, then they bought a 100 team limit i believe for the later champions league and euro games, and it seems they have reduced it again now.quizking wrote: ↑26 May 2021, 18:07 Don't recall seeing a restricted maximum number of teams allowed this year; but ffstuffs site shows over 50 players with more than 50 entries, 10 with 200 or more entries. I can't really see why they are restricting it as no one really has complained about the multis as far as i can tell, unless things like gambling laws, money laundering etc is easier when mass entering a game like this so legally they have to reduce the chances.

Doubt it'll drop soon. If they have any sense they'll be doing a post mortem from the mess of the Euro game.
That said, would be great to have satellites running.

Re: FanTeam £1m Premier League 2021/22
I expect it to drop very soon indeed - remember that last year they launched the game before we even knew who the winners of the play-off final would be - they've already updated the fixtures on their details section of the game, it was done yesterday morning so someone is paying close attention. But their muck up re comms over the late reg and free entry fiasco is sure to make some punters less liekly to play; I'll at least hold back on a couple of entries until we know more about potential BOGOF offers etc., they've shot themselves in the foot there.

Re: FanTeam £1m Premier League 2021/22
TBH, I don’t think I’m going to play.
Nothing to do with Fiascos’ etc more that I seem to suck at long games but I do also think that a few will have been put off.
Though I think they also had another offer running before the BOGOF as there seems to be a load of new users spamming the chat asking the basics.

Re: FanTeam £1m Premier League 2021/22
I thought about that and estimate only circa £400k will be withdrawn after the euros…the top prizes really and the odd person who wants/needs the money but I think the majority will be recycled.
Plus they charge an absolute fortune in rake.

Re: FanTeam £1m Premier League 2021/22
Probably!! You know me….I’m addicted and I just can’t get enough.
In context just placed my free £5 on Slovakia to beat Sweden tomorrow….good odds and the first bit of rake back I have received from the site (free team aside which again in fairness whilst the above is all relevant offsets some of the vig I have paid)

I've already thrown a draft together based on likely prices. Easy to predict prices within +/- 0.5.

Enter the majority of teams before GW1 or GW2 - that is the question. Could miss out on potential hauls for Salah and Fernandes on the opening day, but then you could bank up to an extra mil in price rises which will help getting multiple City assets in for that Norwich game.

Re: FanTeam £1m Premier League 2021/22
Late registration is against my ethos, but at 95% of average, ability to milk any rises and avoid using a wildcard for that purpose, it now becomes a viable strategy.
That said, historically rises are limited after GW1 (6 last season?) so the advantage is somewhat limited to seeing how teams are lining up and avoiding a poor start. Also have to be cautious about FanTeam not generating any rises before Late Registration closes as a result of the Euro debacle.
Not for me personally. However, FanTeam have shot themselves in the foot with their Euro nonsense and BOGOF.

FPL price lists have been released and their game launch is imminent. So would expect this to launch in the coming week, perhaps even tomorrow.

Good. I want something else to concentrate on now my Euro’s has gone a bit pear shaped. How many teams you looking to put in? I reckon I’ll go 10 max. The last winner entered 12, 8 paid and 4 free.

If I do well enough in Euros or even just recoup my entry fee - I'll enter the max allocation of 50. But it will be a 5 x 10 split so I'll have 10 different teams and enter each team 5 times. There is someone called Cujo who entered the same team 100 times last season and managed them identically throughout the season.
