Re: FanTeam £1m Premier League 2021/22
I think it is wrong... Not just for wildcards but people could have taken hits with the view that a price rise could soften the blow.
Either way announcing rule changes on twitter is not right. Same with sky where they announce the breakdown of the remaining transfers. It should either be part of the game or it isnt.

Quizking Thanks again for your reply, especially your suggestions of how to partly offset the loss. Really appreciate you taking the time to help
Exile. Really helpful to me for a player of your quality to agree its not right. Pretty much everyone I've talked to say similar.
Also really Good point re transfer hits for cash gain. I've got to say its not a facet of the game I've considered, as I said I'm still in learning mode in this game, but wow yeah really important if nothing else comes from this. I will certainly give that aspect of the game further thought. Thank you so much for your thoughts

You played the wildcard in a good week now that Wolves vs Watford and Liverpool vs Leeds is off. Lots will have Sa, King/Dennis and the Liverpool treble up. A real opportunity to make up some ground. Who dares get rid of Salah?

Cheers for the reply. Yeah could definitely end up OK , but still can't see it being right.
I'm trying to get a commitment from them that if they do this again, they at least notify us on the site or via email,

If you can take a hit to get a 0.1 or 0.2 rise which enables you to get an extra premium player in for the longer term a one week - 4 could be a route that people have taken.
The way they have done it may mean eg geldhardt doesnt get a rise which prevent someone getting eg son in...
All hypothetical of course- but rules shouldnt be changed mid game and if they are then twitter is not the means of communicating it...
All games should have a level playing field for all participants.... Which is why the constant family cheating in sky gets right on my tits

Very Good points Exile and hypothetically very astute. Wasn't really aware of the Sky thing. I can see how that would grate. Deffo only one team per person in the sky iso league though and everyone knows that's where the real prestige lies
Sadly fan team wouldn't commit to putting any further mid season rule changes on their site
So for anyone like me who is not on twitter or Discord. Tough!
Silly really because I probably would of chucked a good few hundred at this next year.
Hopefully some of this will be helpful to others when making decisions going forward.

Re: FanTeam £1m Premier League 2021/22
Thanks for pointing this out Coleridge, luckily for me I’d used all my wildcards weeks ago but I have been checking daily for rises and was surprised to see none…. Again I don’t use Twitter so if I had used a wildcard I’d be be pretty miffed too! I think a courteous email should have be sent before the last game of the gameweek to make it fair. So hopefully they can do that going forward. Especially as we’re all getting renewed wildcards after this gameweek.

I wouldn't hold my breath on that courteous email Biddles.
"We did communicate the lack of price changes for this particular game week, as we do every game week, on both Discord and our official Twitter account. This did not warrant a bespoke email as there's no fundamental amendment to game rules"

If I could pick 2 games I didn't want to be postponed it would probably be the 2 that has. My second team has lost 8 players so don't know what I'm going to do with that. Luckily my top could have 11 playing with 1 transfer depending on lineups and if there is any more games off. At least it makes it a bit interesting with no Salah.

With the games coming thick and fast does anyone know if price changes have been froze again for after tonight’s fixture?

I'm sure I read somewhere before that there will be price changes tomorrow. I won't be making any early transfers though with all the games that are getting postponed.

Problem is you can only go off tomorrow’s games really and then it’s a lottery the rest of the week if any other games are postponed

Re: FanTeam £1m Premier League 2021/22
Decent round for me,highest team jumped up nearly 500 places into 461st,got another team in top 1000 aswell now in 724th. Next round is going to be intersting with Salah only owned by 43% now. Arsenal game being off is a bit of a pain for me having 3 Arsenal in nearly every team but I imagine most will have at least 1 or 2 from Arsenal.

Same here, and 15% owned Saka has been great differential. Didn't need to, but with the greater-than-usual prospect of rotation I took a few -4s today just to ensure coverage.
Top team in 180th was in prime position though; had 12 strong potential starters before using any transfers, which has enabled me to avoid firefighting. Given the dearth of options, I've gone Watkins > Cavani for a Utd frontline double-up. Risky but 0% ownership currently.
It will be interesting to see how many managers trigger the WC once it is available.

I imagine the big double in GW22 will be enough to tempt a lot of managers into using the WC - I'm still waiting to see how the fixtures fall here before deciding.

Watkins could double as soon as GW21, but then again so could Cavani. A lot of luck involved at the moment for the chips to fall into your favour.

Yeah Cavani is a risky one,not sure if he will play a lot. Who we all on for captain today,iv gone for Salah in most and teams I don't have Salah in iv gone for Son. Hoping Salah will do ok with Leicester having nearly there full defence out.

Hoping Watford vs West ham is a high scoring game as have Antonio and Dennis is nearly every team.

I've heavily backed Salah too with the odd Son and Jota captaincy in teams with no Salah.

Re: FanTeam £1m Premier League 2021/22
Certainly not every game, and he is injury-prone. However, with his return to the bench against the Toon and goalscoring performance, underwhelming team performance, short turnaround and Fernandes' ban, I think he is a cert for Burnley - and maybe a game or two after that. He suits Rangnick's pressing philosophy.
He was a free hit, basically only need him to do the business for a couple of games.
Re: captaincy, I went heavy on Son last week but I am 100% on Ronaldo this week. I now have 0% Salah coverage until the end of the AFCON.

Gallagher out,iv brought a few in today, luckily not in highest team. I imagine a few will have brought him in today for Norwich at home. Wanted to bring Kane in to my best team today but couldn't do it with 1 transfer so just went Odegaard to Jota,I just hope Jota starts now Firmino is back.

Gallagher ownership increased from 20% to 23% so quite a few brought him in. His omission has left me with 10 men once again. All of my starters have good fixtures so I couldn't bring myself to take a hit for a potential bench player.

I just can’t catch a break, I have one good week then one crap week. Hoping to take advantage of some of these double gameweeks, so need to get my head around what I’m going to do. Not sure I want to use my 2nd wildcard so early….

Not a great round for me so far after the Liverpool blank yesterday. Got 4 teams in the top 1000 at the moment but not sure they will stay there after tomorrow. Chelsea and City clean sheets and a Bernardo haul tonight would help. Alonso must be due a goal aswell, can see him being benched tonight though.

In your highest team? Might not work out to bad,get team set up with an extra 1 - 1.5. I can't understand people that didn't use the first wildcard till last week and not taking advantage of the extra budget. Would be tempted by a few early wildcards myself if it wasn't for Covid.

Yeah caught every single price rise I possibly could have so an extra 1.1 mil in budget to play with. Now just need the PL to announce the rearranged fixtures before the deadline to have made it completely worthwhile.Jimbo20 wrote: ↑31 Dec 2021, 09:48 In your highest team?
