In a lot of contexts senior means adult, in others it’s an increasingly politically correct euphemism for old!

Confusingly, a “veteran” in NFL technically means anyone who isn’t a rookie (i.e. first year in the league). Whereas in our football it generally means someone fast approaching the end of their career...

I see Dennis Taylor has announced his full retirement. He’s done well to be still competing with people in their 40s anyway, maybe they need a super-senior category of 60+ or 70+!
