Re: TFF chit chat 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th April
Brighton & Villa play midweek so effectively only Wolves and Palace without a game & 6 midweek teams with bonus games..
TUESDAY 20TH APRIL
Chelsea 20:00 Brighton & Hove Albion
WEDNESDAY 21ST APRIL
Tottenham Hotspur 18:00 Southampton
Aston Villa 20:15 Manchester City
THURSDAY 22ND APRIL
Leicester City 20:00 West Bromwich Albion
Next weekend is the Carling Cup Final so no games for Spurs, Man City, Fulham and Southampton. 3 of those play in midweek. Fulham don't.
So, over the 2 TFF weeks:
1 game - Wolves, Palace, Fulham
2 games - most clubs
3 games - Chelsea, Leicester, WBA

Another gift for Kane from the Everton defence ....
Harry Kane hits back!
Michael Keane makes a mess of his clearance and Kane is there to fire home.
Everton 2-2 Tottenham

Pretty sure it's been ankle problems that have kept him out in the past.buttonphobic wrote: ↑16 Apr 2021, 22:10Is it normally his ankle? Everyone has him so in the same boat I guess
On the BBC text Michael Brown said "Harry Kane's really struggling. It looks like his ankle has rolled. He said straight away 'it's gone. Change me.'".
Everyone's got him, but maybe not everyone's got the transfers to swap him. Worst thing will be if it's a "hope he'll just miss a game or two" and then it's the stck or twist dilemma!

These situations are made for the tortoises. Ideally you want two spare transfers one to shift him out and another to bring him back if he makes it.. Kane might just be being cautious given the Euros!Canaryfan wrote: ↑16 Apr 2021, 22:21Pretty sure it's been ankle problems that have kept him out in the past.buttonphobic wrote: ↑16 Apr 2021, 22:10Is it normally his ankle? Not only the Euros but the League Cup final is in 9 days - why rush him back for the Southampton game when there's silverware to be won 3 days later?

If it is likely that he is going to miss the Southampton game then surely it is worth taking him out for a 3-0. Ive got 7 transfers left so if I bring him back I will 5.

Four for?
Footnote to post immediately above, assuming Kane will miss the match against Southampton on Wed.
Replacing him for a Leicester or Chelsea player could result in a 4-for-0 if Spurs play after either of these clubs when Premier League fixtures currently set for Sat May 1 are rearranged.

...or West Brom
Fair chance he won't be back that soon (plus I'm low on transfers) so I'll be ignoring 3 for 0 type factors and getting Salah (who I sold a few weeks back and have missed more recently). Someone else can also go for Kane when he comes back.

Re: TFF chit chat 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th April
In case anyone cares (or is finally getting Lingard and wants to check that he does indeed start)
Newcastle manager Steve Bruce makes one change to the side that defeated Burnley in their last Premier League outing last Sunday.
Allan Saint-Maximin comes in for Dwight Gayle while Callum Wilson starts on the bench.
Newcastle XI: Dubravka, Murphy, Clark, Fernandez, Dummett, Ritchie, Al Miron, Shelvey, Songstaff, Saint-Maximin, Joe Linton
Subs: Gillespie, Carroll, Gayle, Wilson, Lewis, Hendrick, Krafth, Manquillo, Willock.
West Ham manager David Moyes makes two tweaks to the side that beat Leicester in the Premier League last weekend.
Aaron Cresswell and Arthur Masuaku drop out with Ben Johnson and Angelo Ogbonna both starting.
West Ham XI: Fabianski, Coufal, Dawson, Diop, Ogbonna, Soucek, Noble, Fornals, Lingard, Johnson, Bowen
Subs: Martin, Trott, Balbuena, Yarmolenko, Benrahma, Lanzini, Alves, Fredericks, Coventry City.

Why is Coufal showing with 3pts, an assist for the handball penalty, is that possible?

Yes, as he is deemed to have "earned" the penalty. When the new game-organisers took over this season and replaced KCs with assists, it brought the game in-line with the approach that the FPL game has to assists. I don't believe it would have earned him TFF points last season.

How many lucky numbers do you have in this week's Man City line-up lottery?
Chelsea XI: Kepa, Azplicueta, Chilwell, Jorginho, James, Kante, Mount, Rudiger, Silva, Werner, Ziyech.
Subs: Caballero, Alonso, Emerson, Zouma, Gilmour, Havertz, Hudson-Odoi, Pulisic, Giroud.
Manchester City XI: Steffen, Cancelo, Dias, Laporte, Mendy, Rodrigo, Fernandinho, De Bruyne, Torres, Sterling, Jesus.
Subs: Ederson, Walker, Stones, Ake, Gundogan, Zinchenko, Bernardo, Mahrez, Foden.

So, it looks like I’ll be down to just one City player (Dias) in my teams tomorrow.
Wouldn’t have believed that a couple of weeks ago.
