Day 3 and all riders are setting off again, wahine joins Kris-fiso at the front of affairs with muddy and trampie three lengths back. The bonus race is won by TheBigLewandowski, muddy and nevblake, well done !

Kris-fiso is headed, and not by just one runner, three go past him as wahine is joined up front by muddy and trampie, who's finding the new ground to his liking.

Over the water-jump and we see a new face at the front as Spencer4 looms upside of Wahine at the front with trampie and muddy now a length back and Kris-fiso fading, having stuck his hind legs in the water. But it's close up front. At the back dickypick is being held up, ready for a big run tomorrow...

...the final flight today sees a huge leap from Spencer4 taking lengths out of the field. A mistake from wahine sees trampie and muddy go by as striker positions himself in 4th ready for the race home. Just passing the finish line on the first circuit is dickypick, hard held...

muddy takes the final fences in his stride to power home to victory by 5 lengths from wahine, who's never been far from the front all week and TheBigLewandowski. Just off the podium again is Spencer4, adding a 4th place to previous 3rd, 3rd, 5th and 6th place finishes. In 5th comes striker, no stranger to the minor placings.

Scenes we don't want to see further back as Richt fell into a hole and only managed to crawl a few yards before deciding to walk back in. dickypick's hold-up tactics worked well enough, and with three more races he might have caught the leaders, whereas Trampie, ralphypne and Kris-fiso may need to go back to the drawing board for next year...

Disappointed how poorly my performance was, 8th equal not dreadful on paper but never anywhere near the leaders. Never mind. Hope everyone came out of cheltenham a winner!

I managed to learn a bit from past failures, including not to go out too fast. On the home turn, I thought that not picking Gavin Cromwell today was going to cost me but Colreevy saw me home (and won me a few quid off the bookies too).
