They have not gone for that after all, wuite the opposite. Two wildcards, after last 16 and last 8. Three changes per week.

Now that's too many transfers - everyone will have the same team after the quarters if the big boys are kept apart in the draw.

that's exactly what I thought, I put a draft team on the fly, and I could fit 5 of the Salah, Ronaldo, Lewandoski, Neymar, Messi, plus a 7m mid, plus all the top defences.
There is also safety net. It seems all too easy. Everyone will have similar teams and the difference will be on captain pick
