TFF chit chat 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th October
FRIDAY 23RD OCTOBER
ASTON VILLA 20:00 LEEDS UNITED
This weekend kicks off with a Friday night fixture featuring high flying Aston Villa welcoming recently promoted Leeds to Villa Park. The mighty Villa's season so far has been a revelation, the defence has been revitalised and the introduction of Watkins and more recently Barkley has boosted the attack. Leeds are doing ok for a team new to the Premier League, they are certainly the best of the three that came up.
SATURDAY 24TH OCTOBER
WEST HAM UNITED 12:30 MANCHESTER CITY
The early Saturday game sees Manchester City taking on West Ham. The Hammers fought back well against Spurs last time out and appear to have a few players back from injury which will see more competition for places. Man City were in midweek action, winning on Wednesday against Porto. Whisper it quietly but Aguero is back from injury and straight back into the team.
FULHAM 15:00 CRYSTAL PALACE
A London derby at 3pm - Fulham against Crystal Palace. Palace are lower mid-table but have not won for three games. Zaha is playing better this season and has been in and around the goals (and he is on penalties). Fulham are bottom of the League after five games though picked up a point last time out. Nothing to see here from a TFF perspective.
MANCHESTER UNITED 17:30 CHELSEA
The weekend's big match kicks off at 5:30pm and features Manchester United v Chelsea. Both teams were in mid-week European action with United getting a good result and Chelsea a slightly disappointing one. United are 15th and will be desperate for a win today. Has Chelsea's Werner started to find his feet in the Premier League?
LIVERPOOL 20:00 SHEFFIELD UNITED
At 8 o'clock we have a game between Liverpool and Sheffield United. The Blades are joint bottom of the table, the defending has turned poor and the strikers are yet to find their shooting boots. Liverpool has had the heart ripped out of their defence with both Alisson and Van Dijk missing. Salah is top scorer in this game but 4th overall behind Kane, Son and Calvert-Lewin.
SUNDAY 25TH OCTOBER
SOUTHAMPTON 14:00 EVERTON
Three games this Sunday, the first is at 2pm where Southampton play host to Everton. Both sides possess impressive strikers in the shapes of Ings and Calvert-Lewin respectively. Everton are without Richarlison (suspended) plus James Rodriguez and Seamus Coleman are injured. Southampton are unable to field Walcott as he is against his parent club.
WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS 16:30 NEWCASTLE UNITED
At 4:30 it is Wolves v Newcastle at Molineux. Wolves picked up a win and a clean sheet last weekend. Newcastle were eventually overrun by Manchester United last weekend after being ahead thanks to an own goal. You would expect Wolves to come out victorious in this one. Kilman is a potential enabler in the Wolves defence if he keeps his place.
ARSENAL 19:15 LEICESTER CITY
The late Sunday game is Arsenal against Leicester. This could be considered a big game as it sees the 5th placed Gunners versus the Foxes in 4th position. Vardy is flagged as doubtful due to a calf injury. Arsenal definitely won't be fielding Ozil in this or any subsequent fixtures this season. Rumour has it that Gunnersaurus is also out for the season.
MONDAY 26TH OCTOBER
BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION 17:30 WEST BROMWICH ALBION
It's Monday, it's 5:30, it's Brighton versus West Brom. WBA have snuck up to 17th after a couple of draws and are still looking for their first win of the season. Brighton are only one place and two points above them. Again this is a fixture with little TFF interest except if you have Diangana as a midfield enabler.
BURNLEY 20:00 TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR
And finally, Burnley welcome Spurs to the ground formerly known as Fortress Turf Moor. Last time on All or Nothing, Tottenham were 3-nil up and they threw it away against West Ham, even though Harry blew the proverbial doors off and Son was shining. Burnley kept a clean sheet, though admittedly it was away from home and they failed to score.
Next fixture on Friday.

Trouble is which mascot to go for? In fact, what other mascots can you name (without Googling)? Isn't there a boiler at WBA? Gully for Brighton? A hammer at the Hammers?

Teams are in.
Leeds - Meslier & 10 blokes I don't own
Villa - 11 blokes I don't own
Villa are unchanged. Leeds have had to reshuffle due to injuries leading to an Ayling Koch (ouch) CB pairing.

Cursing James being out injured one week after putting him in. But he’s now possibly starting. Not that I want him to do anything Sunday.

I'd feel a little better if I'd captained him.

Good grief, two clean sheets in one match. I'm off to lie down in a dark room with a cool flannel on my forehead.

I live ooop north and work with a load of Leeds fans. Before the season I asked them about their prospects:
"We have no defence worth talking about and Bamford is absolute dross"
Good to know I thought, I'll give them a miss and go for something solid like Sheffield United' defenders.....

Im away to a cabin in the highlands this weekend with zero signal when we are out and about. Think I’ll do this every weekend to save transfers. Just tuning in to last nights events now.
I also have a big Leeds fan as a mate who reliably advised me pre-season that Bamford was “dog sh@t” and ‘wouldn’t score in the prem’. “He is cheap as chips as striker for a reason”

Re: TFF chit chat 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th October
West Ham stick with the same 11 that fell 3-0 behind at Spurs last Sunday - before rescuing a point with three late goals.
Manuel Lanzini, who hit a stunning stoppage time equaliser, has to make do with a place on the bench alongside Sebastien Haller, who is back after a knock. There is no place yet for new signing Said Benrahma.
West Ham XI: Fabianski, Coufal, Balbuena, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Masuaku, Bowen, Soucek, Rice, Fornals, Antonio.
Substitutes: Yarmolenko, Lanzini, Noble, Haller, Diop, Fredericks, Randolph.
The games are coming thick and fast for Manchester City and Pep Guardiola, who is without several key players because of injury, names the same 11 that started against Porto in the Champions League on Wednesday.
There is one notable addition to the substitutes bench - Kevin de Bruyne is back after missing his club's last two games.
Man City XI: Ederson, Walker, Dias, Garcia, Joao Cancelo, Bernardo Silva, Rodri, Gundogan, Mahrez, Aguero, Sterling.
Substitutes: Stones, Zinchenko, Steffen, De Bruyne, Torres, Foden, Palmer.
