Re: FISO Virtual Relay London Marathon - NOW into our 2nd year
That's the 0.01 I didn't do!
26.68 done, 15.52 to go
I won't be adding any on today as we did a big(gish) walk on the fells yesterday. Started mowing my lawn today but it is too damn hot, even for that.

Re: FISO Virtual Relay London Marathon - NOW into our 2nd year
8k in 47:12, so still a way to go I'm afraid.
Bit late reporting, as I ran yesterday but didn't time it. Always use my son's Strava app, but we got absolutely soaked doing last week's 10k and his mobile packed up the next day from the water damage, so we've had to wait for it to be repaired.
Went out again earlier this evening, as his phone is better now. Unlike my time.

Looks like we are still short. I am about to head out for a run so can sub in today's run which will be longer.
Looks like around 8km should do it?

Hopefully gets us over the line if we swap this for my earlier one?

Nice going, but depends how rigidly Murf's sticking to his no second run policy.
If it's one run each, then we're still about two miles short.

Would be good to do it on one run each so we'll keep it open.

bigger. I hadn't realised Brightwater's one was his second otherwise I would have stayed out longer to finish it but thought 8.5km would do it!

Re: FISO Virtual Relay London Marathon - NOW into our 2nd year
58th Weekly FISO Coronavirus Marathon Relay
GO!
murf 6.40-km 0:37:07
Brightwater 10.20km 1:03:41
Mystery 5.07km 0:25:23
Johnners 8.00km 0:47:12
Neath Boy 9.25km 0:50:50
TOTAL - 38.92km 3:44:13
To Go: 3.28km
I did 7.78km this morning (didn't want to go further as we are both suffering from injury/issues a bit and it was a tad warm too - might have done 9.68km if I'd realised the numbers).
So.... that leaves just 1.90km if someone wants to go out and run an upgrade. My run was very slow (not much under 7m/km) so best to do all 3.28km to save my slow pace shame!
If nobody does today then we can count my dog Faye's run (best 3.28km of this morning) so it is one go each and then start week 59 on Friday.

Re: FISO Virtual Relay London Marathon - NOW into our 2nd year
Good old Chelmsford parkrun, my original home course. Think I did 40-something runs there before they opened a couple nearer my (then) home. Including my 50th parkrun on xmas day 2014 (hope that year is right).Mystery wrote:I'll lead off with a run around the Chelmsford parkrun course before the rain arrived. 5.16km in 28:32
A nice course in a pleasant setting if the grassy bits weren't too wet. Amazing I thought the one slight hill was a killer and my home course now has 700ft of ascent!

Re: FISO Virtual Relay London Marathon - NOW into our 2nd year
I was out for a walk in the rain this lunchtime and I can confirm the drainage, even on the tarmac bits, is appalling - but it was lovely first thing.murf wrote:A nice course in a pleasant setting if the grassy bits weren't too wet. I saw the titles of Strava segments mentioning a hill and to be honest I'm not even sure I was on the same course as them now. I mean there was one little climb, but really....

Re: FISO Virtual Relay London Marathon - NOW into our 2nd year
Just missed my PB I think which I'd set a few weeks before. About 24 minutes, maybe nearer 24:30???Mystery wrote:It was 2014. EDIT 24:18, my second best time at that stage. 24:04 PB set on 6th.
Used to occassionally still go there as it was faster than Great Notley which had one proper hill.

15.27 so far. 3 parkruns (appropriate enough as it is just gone 9 on the day parkrun had planned to restart in England)

There was a time before this thread began where I'd have regarded 7.66 km as nigh on impossible, but I've just upgraded my parkrun, seeing as I was the one bringing up the rear.

I did 9.32k yesterday. Sneakily early and very slow (1:02 and a bit, back injury still not right) so will only include it if we are short.
