Re: Eliteserien 2020
A new thread, good idea.
The game has been launched for the 2020 season.
Players are a bit more expensive this season. All good, as I see it.
Same chips as last season.
I've got a team, the core may be solid while fringe players will change a few times before the deadline.

Do we need a new Fiso thread for this coming season? Who set up the last season's league?
I'll leave it a few days to see if one appears on the games auto-renewal arrangement. If this fails to appear, I'm happy to go ahead and start things moving for the new season. However, I don't want to tread on anyone's toes, I might be getting too eager!

I have set up a very provisional team so far. It seem the player pricing is very high this season so hard to get a good balanced side.

Looks like the Corunavirus has delayed the opening of 2020 season until 2nd May. Frustrating for Fantasy Managers, but quite understandable under the circumstances.

Re: Eliteserien 2020
Be aware that Eliteserien will commence Wednesday 16. June. Yes, that is tomorrow. Deadline is 1700 CET.
I expect Molde and Rosenborg to be fighting for the title. Many interesting fantasyprospects from those two clubs, but they both face a tough schedule early on. Schedule looks better for Stabæk and Sarpsborg. Value also looks ok in these two clubs. I fear that Sandefjord and Mjøndalen will struggle for survival this season and I don't see any fantasy attraction there for now. They may prove me wrong.
Note that Molde defence is struggling with injuries. Injury concern also for Stølås (Haugesund). McDermott, popular fantasy goalie with Kristaiandsund, is out for a long while.
It will have to be a really tight schedule this season. Something to consider when evaluating players like Helland and Wolff Eikrem. Great fantasy potential if they start, but I doubt they will start every match.

Re: Eliteserien 2020
FYI, latest Eliteserien rumor: Torgeir Børven (Odd, top scorer last season) is ready to sign for Rosenborg. His contract with Odd expires end July, but Rosenborg is said to be willing to pay to get him sooner. Nothing confirmed yet.
Make of that what you will, but (almost) everyone will get Børven if/when he starts for Rosenborg.

Re: Eliteserien 2020
56 for me as well. But I've got Sandberg left to play.
Things looked good before my Sarpsborg players started their match. Well, it will still be a decent start to the season.
Red card for James was not in accordance to plan. I think I'll keep anyway.
The positive was a surprise clean sheet for my cheap goalie, Makani. No goals in the match Stabekk - Mjøndalen was just pefect.
I was a bit lucky that my captain, Børven, got a goal form a late penalty.
I had a look at some of the matches. Rosenborg did not impress at all. Helland and Adegbenro looked lively, but no output and they were subbed. Actually, Molde didn't impress that much either. They were lucky to win four by one, deadly effective as they were.Wolf Eikrem subbed with a possible injury (expect to see this phrase throughout the season). Vålerenga was very well organised and could be a good defensive unit this year. Bodø-Glimt impressed me once again, a very good offensive team.
But first game of the season and things can change from here. Børven to Rosenborg is yet not confirmed, but is a likely move. But when?

Re: Eliteserien 2020
GW2 proved to be a very tricky GW. That goes for me and it goes for the rest of the FISO-teams.
I only managed 42 points, but this was still above the global average at 37. I can thank captain Zinck and the unlikely hero in the Mjøndalen goal for my points, the rest did nothing at all (apart from a penalty from Sandberg).
Observations:
Bodø Glimt impressed again. Their attack simply looks brilliant.
Kristiansund was fantastic. Or rather, Pellegrino was outstanding and the rest of the team looked good. Expensive, but Pellegrino proved his value in this match.
Rosenborg has not impressed at all so far this season. Another disappointment is Sarpsborg. I had three players from Sarpsborg from the start, an utter fiasco and they will be offloaded.
Note that the next round of matches takes place this Wednesday. Time is here to set up our teams already.

Thanks Bola pinnsvin. You are off to a great start, I missed the deadline this week but I already had Borven as captain and am happy with that. Looking to loose one of my RBK defenders for Gregerson and use the saving for an upgrade elsewhere.
I see you have Bamba in your WC team, how is he playing? I was not impressed last season.
Gav's Gunners off to a great start
85 so far and more to come, well played sir
Also Will Griggs is on fire with 84

Bolla pinnsvin hit a ton plus this week so we all have some catching up to do. I see a few WC's played already and may play mine in two weeks as I can see some changes that I need to make. My bench looks ragged atm and I am missing two prime players. Early days so no need to panic ( much).

Re: Eliteserien 2020
What a game-week that was! I'm not going into all the matches, you got the numbers yourselves, but some rather decisive moments of real and fantasy football.
First, the news right ahead of the deadline about Leke James and Pellegrino implied panic for some, me included. I had both, my bench was too weak and I needed big changes. I spent my WC over the last hour before the deadline. I'm so glad I did this even if it meant that I got rid of hat-trick Børven. I ended at 101 points and a GR of 107 (OR 135). My only regret is the last second switch of goalkeepers, Makani out and Klaesson in, as adrenaline was running high and vision got blurred.
I normally don't follow football close enough to pick up news same day as deadline. But I do see that this can be a real benefit in Eliteserien Fantasy. Eurosport web-page is a possible source of info. Articles in Norwegian, but google translate will give you the essence. Line-ups for the first set of games are available 15-20 minutes before the fantasy deadline (both for the teams and here:https://www.fotball.no/turneringer/eliteserien/). Something to be aware of, and I'll try to be more attentive myself from now on.
Second, the games were exciting and many popular fantasy options hit form. I watched Bodø-Glimt beating Rosenborg and was once again impressed by the BG offensive line. I got three of them in my team and can only recommend players from BG. They could even have won with a wider margin. The Rosenborg loss had an important consequence; head coach in Rosenborg got fired (or decided to leave himself) this morning. There are quality players in Rosenborg, but hard to predict when and if they will start to shine again. They will be away to Brann next and there's no way I'll jump on the RBK-players yet. Also; Torgeir Bjørven (Odd) will move to Rosenborg sometime this season, but no info if this will happen before his contract expires first September.
But hey, I'm not the only one who did well this round. All seven in the FISO-league did really well and despite my success I barely got the first spot in the league for the GW, and not much ahead OR either. This is serious competition. Good luck all this weekend!

Re: Eliteserien 2020
The Borven deal went through and he could play for RBK this weekend. 2.4 with bonuses plus Mushaga Bakenga I believe.
Valerenga sitting 7th in the table have conceded 7 in 4 games but 4 of those were in the 4-1 loss to Odd will not be a push over.
"If" Borven gets the service he should do well at RBK, but it is a big "if". The RBK fans are clamoring for attacking football, the only trouble is the team find it very hard to break down defenses when they have possession. The creativity in the midfield seems to have departed and until they get that back they are no more than a mid table side.
I vote to bring back Bendtner as the next RBK coach
Edit to add that Adegbero's father passed away before the Brann match but he chose to play as he could not fly home due to the Covid crisis. The injury he sustained during the match should not keep him out for long. from an article on RBKweb.no

KBK v Molde and S08 v Brann kicking off soon to end the game week with a bang.
Hoping for an Eikrem haul to save my GW .Gregersen, Psyche and captain Eikrem to come. My RBK pair providing 2 points as they concede a soft goal and look toothless up front. Hopefully Borven will get them going and make a fight for the European places at least.
Good luck all.

Re: Eliteserien 2020
Welcome to our new league members from FFS. OCD played the 2018 season in the FISO league but I think the rest are FISO virgins.
I am trying to save a FT to make a double change next week but the urge to play the WC is strong. TV increasing will only help the future WC even though some of my targets will increase as well. As usual I will not be too much template anyway.
Eikrem K again
Good luck for the season.

Meling set to leave RBK this week. He is probably heading to a French club and the deal looks set to go subject to medical.
Borven set to start against Stabaek, Valsvic gets the nod over Tore Reginiussen. Expect RBK to come out fighting
and playing an all out attacking game. Also expect them to be caught on the break and not keep a clean sheet
Gregersen and Haugen still awol this week against Mjondalen.
Ausbo joins the long list of damaged goal keepers for Viking
. I guess he has a chance to play next week as they do not play again until Sunday, but if not it could be 4th choice TRYM SØLVBERG UR between the sticks

Re: Eliteserien 2020
Hi all. Good to see the bunch from last season back and also welcome to the new joiners in the FISO league.
After quite a poor start also decided to play the WC this week. Don’t want to start to take hits regularly and the prices are going up quite fast at the moment so it seems a good time to play the WC.
Wondering, leading the league from the bottom, whether it will be possible to make up ground during the season or whether the template is too strong.
Main questions for me this week:
How strong should we expect Rosenborg now after replacing the coach and getting the best forward in the league?
defence - cheap as chips as there are not too many clean sheets anyway or go more expensive at the back
Good luck all!

Re RBK I am going for three a defender Mid and Borvan. Going with an RBK defender will be good going forward, Meling is gone but I can see them settling down nicely at the back. Valsvik is well priced. I just sold Eggan on my WC but may live to regret that move.
Good luck anyway , the template will break up soon and hitting K choice can soon make up a lot of ground. We have a very strong league so that should help drag us up in OR. As usual I am aiming for top 1k and trying to keep my chips as long as possible.

Hi Oxford NZ. Thanks for your thoughts and realized we are both on WC so will be an interesting time till Saturday
.
Yes, Valsvik caught my eye too and with their fixtures could be good.
Brann also have some good games coming up. Catching some of them could also be fruitful. Here’s a version with Komsoon.
