Hypothetical scenario:
Waivers are processed 24 hours before GW deadline.
Which means this will occur at some point tomorrow.
If Dybala (or anyone) joins post deadline - they won’t be available for signing from free agency until next week?
This means there is a strong argument to tank in GW1 in order to secure priority for any late transfers?
Is this a thing? Thoughts?

It is a thing to tank GW1 anyway because there's so much more info available after GW1, but you have limits as to how much you can tank it since you don't want to transfer out any decent players.

So that's where I've been going wrong.
I usually do ok in GW1 and then pants the rest of the year.
Just a word on deadlines though. The deadline as far as new players being added to the game is concerned is 48 hours before the GW deadlines (24 hours before the waiver deadline), so any players added after 19:00 tonight will not be available until GW2 waivers. It was good to have an excuse to dig out my old wiring diagram from a couple of years back.

don't get too technical, unless you're like me and already have injuries and deadwood to deal with
