... and don't forget to all sign up for my Highlander league. No restrictions on numbers there, we can cull as many as we like during the season... and bring back a few as zombies to kill one more time.

PVA and Schlupp scored loads of points last season and Roy has an injury crisis so less chance of rotation (plus my mate is a season ticket holder at Selhurst Park so should be able to get the low down)

3 Andy Waring [Mintman] - ? was active in transfers right up until may

Suggest we set a 12 hour rule from say lunchtime today (12pm). So if the manager before you hasn't picked their block choice by 12 hours after the previous draft then the next manager can make their choice. The manager that has been leapfrogged can make his selection at any time from that point if he returns. If they haven't returned by say Wednesday lunchtime (12pm) then the reserves can step in and take a slot (after the last manager above them has picked, bearing in mind the 12 hour rule as well).

Does that work for all and make sense?!

If so, suggest nffc make his choice at 12pm today if bigbaddod hasn't shown up by then? Will pm him now.

I did pm him after I did my pick (I wasn't sure if that was the etiquette, perhaps it should be?)

That’s fine by me tbf.

I suspect a couple more might drop out so it’d be handy to have a few days to try and round up new managers.

Just wanted to query the following rule:

7. Your team must be made public before the first Premier League kick-off at 20:00 on Friday, August 9, 2019.

Perhaps I am over thinking this but doesn't this gives a (slight) advantage to the people with the two teams involved as they get to see team news for their defence whereas the remaining 18 have to pick blind?

Would it be possible to amend to say:

7. Your team must be made public before the first Premier League kick-off of your respective team

Unless there is a reason for the deadline i have missed?

(Until I re-read the rules today I was going to pick at 2pm on Saturday...)

Think that rule was set before the introduction of the silly Friday night start to the season.

Probably wise to move that til midnight on Thursday?

The rule was there mainly to give me or everyone else the time to vet teams to make sure they are compliant (without rogue defenders from other teams).

The added bonus is that all teams will also be in the starting XI league as well. But there is nothing in that rule to stop managers making last minute changes based on team news as things stand.

But happy to move deadline to Thursday if you all prefer / agree? Do we also want to insert a no changes policy after this point until after the main game deadline?

Perhaps a no-change rule between the Thursday evening deadline and Friday at 5pm, giving a window to check nobody has misunderstood rules and has a valid team? I think everyone would want the ability to make last minute changes based on team news, and if anyone then breaks the rules then penalise (they could of course do this at any point in the season, not just before game 1).

If the deadline is going to be Thursday, could the remaining managers with a pick all get a PM asking them to rank the remaining available teams by say 6pm tomorrow, so you can then allocate to them? I guess you would have to publicise the rankings after allocation for transparency, but the reserves are at risk of having no time to research whatever relegation fodder team they end up with...

Already two AWOL and pretty sure Jag won’t be playing as he’s dropped out of Egg Cup. Leaves us at least one manager short.

I’ve pm’d sibrown and also Wizardoffire as he’s ok to pick now.

Either way, I think Jag can now make his choice now. If any of those above and including Jag hasn't chosen by midnight tonight then the reserves can make their choices.

Looks like we may be looking for one more player if anyone else fancies it?

so where are we at?

Did a deadline for no-shows ever get agreed?

Would be helpful to find out if I am in, and know my team, some time today if at all possible...
