After a rather long hiatus we now see the return of the individual cups
To enter - you need to sign up for the Knockout Cup 2018-19 minileague:
You'll need to go to the FISO Goals site section of FISO:
- click the 'fiso Games' logo/link at the top of most pages.
- select FISO Goals
- Click 'My Mini Leagues' on the left of the new page
- enter the following into the 'Join a Mini League' boxes:
League ID = 44
Password changed as entry now closed
- click the box marked 'Join'
You won't have to do anything extra to participate in this cup other than enter as explained above and then do your regular 'FISO Goals' Premiership Predictions for the league.
TO GET YOUR PLACE IN THE KNOCKOUT YOU NEED TO ENTER BY FIRST KICK OFF ON THE WEEKEND OF SATURDAY 24 NOVEMBER
The preliminary round will be over the weekend of 24 November 2018
Knockout WILL start with the weekend of 1st December 2018
1. However many we are at by the start of the preliminary round, all those entered by that time will be guaranteed starting places in the knockout.
2. The preliminary round will sort out any byes for the first round of the knockout stages with the best scores (of those entered by the deadline) getting a bye.
You won't have to do anything extra to participate in this cup other than enter as explained above and then do your regular 'FISO Goals' Premiership Predictions for the league.
HOW IT WORKS
This and my other cups are effectively informal/unofficial side competitions run by me using scores in the formal/official FISO Goals competition (which has replaced the superior informal/semi-official Premiership Predictions comps run by me and thelip in the olden days).
All ties will be knockout over two legs, home and away. Away goals counts if there is a tie and then usual tie-breakers. (If these aren't enough then tie-break for Byes after single-leg preliminary round, this will have additional tie-break based on Set 11 scores (for those entered before it starts) then order of entering minileague).

- Other than the byes for the first round, all draws will be totally random using the e-blackbag with Kylie and one other special (but not as special as Kylie) guest doing the draw each week as per previous seasons.SETS/DATES
These are based on there being 17-32 entrants (ended up with 21)
Set 13 Bye sorting preliminary type thingy round (24 Nov) - 11 byes available
Sets 14/15, Round 1 - Last 32 (1 Dec & Tues/Weds 4-5 Dec) - 5 games only
Sets 16/17, Round 2 - Last 16 (8 Dec & 15 Dec)
Sets 18/19, QFs (22 Dec & Wed 16 Dec)
Sets 20/21, SFs (29 Dec & Tues 1 Jan)
Sets 22/23, Final (12 Jan & 19 Jan)
Set numbers etc are subject to change but I will try and keep them to the 'proper' sets of matches so most legs should have 10 games subject to rearrangements, snow, dragons etc. Dates given are saturdays (or midweek if stated) and just give an anchor for the set dates. Bonus rearranged games etc may or may not count depending on how they fall and fit into the prediction sets.
