Firstly, many thanks to Simon for running for the 2017-18 league. You did a great job and it is much appreciated.


The Game

The John Morrison Elite League is back for its 11th season.

This is a mini-league competition which is entered officially via the Sun DreamTeam website.

Each member of the league enters a single team

For your £10 entry fee you’ll get entry into:

* the very competitive John Morrison Elite League with a decent 1st prize (roughly 45% of the prize pool) and a very nice trophy that will be yours to keep for a season (note: apple not included)

* the Champions League (will start around September, maybe earlier if I get my act together )

* the FA Cup (will start in December)



What to do

(1) Please read the rules in the second post of this thread. Please also take note of this Important mini-league warning viewtopic.php?f=2&t=116472

(2) Register your interest on this thread

(3) I’ll get payment details over to you

(4) Send me your payment.

(5) When the Sun launch the 2018-19 game, I will set up a mini-league and send the league pin and password to everyone who has paid.

(6) Enter one or more teams into the Sun competition and then add ONE of the teams to the FISO mini-league. There’s no need to include your Fiso name in your team name.

11pm (BST) on Thursday 9th Aug is the absolute latest deadline for payments.

The competition will start straight from the first kick off on the first day of the season so your teams must be entered into the mini-league by the kick-off of the first game. I’m afraid any teams entered after the first game cut-off point will not be valid. You will receive a refund of your £10 entry fee.

If an individual's team wins a Sun DreamTeam prize then that is theirs to do with as they wish. This also applies if the Elite League wins a minileague prize from the Sun DreamTeam prize fund.

This my sixth season looking after the league (I took a season off in 2017-18), so rest assured that your money will be safe with me.

As this competition is done using the Sun’s own site and scoring system there can be no arguments about points or scores being added incorrectly. The Sun's mini-league table is final.

Eligibility

Entrants must have made at least 10 posts on FISO as of 12th July 2018

You must be at least 18 years old.

Prize pool
All £10 entry fees will go into the prize pool.

This will be divided:

John Morrison Elite League
Winner: 45% of prize pool
2nd place: 23%
3rd place: 12%
4th place: 5%
5th place: 5%

If two or more entrants tie on points then their respective prizes will be added together and divided out equally amongst the tied entrants.

Cup Competitions

Champions League
Winner: 5% of prize pool + £40 (sponsored prize)
Runner up: £30 (sponsored prize)


FA Cup
Winner: 5% of prize pool + £25 (sponsored prize)
Runner up: £30 (sponsored prize)


Prize Payout

All prize money will be sent out promptly.

Sponsorship

CBN will sponsor the cost of engraving and shipping the trophy at the end of 2018-19
leethomas has put in £100 which I will add to the prize money for the cup competitions
gutshot has put in £10 which I will add to the prize money for the cup competitions
The Black Dogs has put in £15 which I will add to the prize money for the Champions League
