This is a bit of a random and eclectic mix - really need to be sat in front of my DVD collection to get this 'right' and there are loads of other ones that could have made the lists... Here goes:

For the films they are ones that I would be happy to watch more than once!

The Great Escape
Italian Job
The Fog

Weekend At Bernie's

For the programmes they are ones I watch regularly or look forward to the new season starting

Top 5 Telly Programmes: (Space age weird cosmic transmission stuff as provided by Netflicks, Amazon Prime and Sky Atlantic also allowed. )

Yeah, kids shows were much more interesting and scary than nowadays, with the exception of SJA (which was basically a kids version of Dr Who anyway). Children of the Stones in particular was really unnerving for kids.

Not many actually spring to mind. Woody Harrelson I guess, he is really under rated. People tend to remember him in those daft films with Wesley Snipes but he is really versatile in my opinion. A natural comedian and a really good character actor in serious dramas.

Groan - two more weeks of footy frIendlies

How about guilty pleasures? (naff movies that you love)
or movie moments that make you blub

1 Armageddon - cheesy but strangely compelling

2 The bit in The Magnificent Seven when Charlie Branson tells the kids off for calling their parents cowards. Not sure why this gets me going but it does every time

2 When Jenny dies in Forrest Gump

blub is a bit strong - tear in the eye maybe - but this scene nearly always works on me if I haven't seen the film for a while...
