Certainly differs from the random names out a hat approach I'll be implementing later.

Our turn tomorrow am - my time - hope to be home in time to keep the lads in line LOL

there's still room for one more entrant i think.

I had a good think between Aguero and Morata. Went with Aguero in the end just because I know what he can do and it's still early days for Morata.

I always planned on getting 1 good GK mid draft and leaving the 2nd to round 15, but like Dino I also noticed that I could afford to leave my 3rd forward pick until the end and concentrate on my last midfielders and defenders. Got Defoe in round 14. :)

I'm glad someone is! Picking first completely threw me, I was all prepared not to get one of the big two and abandoned my "plan" completely

Yep

Admittedly I did have my Fixture Spreadsheet ope, and 8 GW's highlighted. Not a clue why people looked at more as it is a 5 Team Division....

Leagues with an odd number of teams get an "average score" team included, which plays the team that would otherwise have a blank week. So it's still a 10 GW season...

Oh, so we have 2 GW's playing with ourselves

Isn't the 2nd season just be decided by top 2 in each going into top Div, then next 2 in middle and the other 4 pants lot joining mine in the bottom?

(And telling me to read the rules etc has never worked in the past       )

If a head to head league has an uneven number of entries, then an average team will be added.
This team will not have any players in, but will score an average Gameweek score based on the scores in that individual league.
Actually, you won't be playing with yourself, but against all the other 4 teams in the league at the same time (averaged)
In practice, if your score that gw is higher than the average of the other 4, you get a win. Lower, it's a loss. Equal, also depending on roundings, you draw
blahblah wrote: Isn't the 2nd season just be decided by top 2 in each going into top Div, then next 2 in middle and the other 4 pants lot joining mine in the bottom?
I don't think a 4-teams league would be advisable, unless we have them rest 4 gws while the other two leagues play their 10 gws. (or they can play 3 times against each other for 9 gws total)
Un-unless someone new joins in. Provided none of us drops out....

If we stay 16, it's up to bspittles, i figure 6-5-5 would be the most natural, but then I don't know how he'll decide who'll be the worst 4th to go into bottom

On 2nd thoughts, maybe 6-6-4 it's better, with bottom 4 playing 9 gws indeed...

Well have over 3 months to decide, glad it's not my decision, and maybe bsp will manage to hire a couple more :)

6-5-5 was what I would expect, I'd really like to keep the divisions as similar as possible. Hopefullt we'll get more interest for Season 2 :-)

I mean would you boast having hastily drafted a bad team to keep the draft time shorter, rather than having pondered a bit more to get the best team you could in a 40' draft?
The game will run 10 WEEKS, what's the worth of 10 minutes more or less at its beginning?

Doesn't it take 90 secs for "Default" picks to be selected?

no Blah, once someone misses their turn the computer selects the next names from their watchlist or draft list until they make another pick for themselves so if they are not present the computer picks quite quickly. Initial 90 seconds gives someone inexperienced the chance to realise its their turn and start seeing how the draft is working, when they become more confident they can start picking faster and no need for the 90 seconds.

We'll leave that to you as sidegame admin, bsp :)

In the meanwhile:

blablah can draw if his Brady outscores my Abraham by 21p :o
It would have been "easier" if Mendy 10p hadn't been his 3rd sub ;)

TT is all-out and trailing by 14p, MDF can even increase that with Heaton
unlucky TT as with the 2nd score he'd have been ahead of me by 1p (if Abraham gets 0p playing)
Fixtures... :)

Average is 198/5=39.6 rounded down to 39

3 teams would have beaten the avg so far, two are below
Unlucky dino to be one of those two the gw he faces Avg
He has tho Chicharito+Antonio, home vs Hud on monday, with reasonable chances to get good points
He can still win if his 2 players score
17p+(Abraham+Brady+Heaton)/4, give or take roundings
e.g. if the other 3 blank (3*2p) he needs 18p ( Avg 44 - dino 45)
Not impossible: Chicha 2G Antonio 1G +CS/bonuses
