This time I DID get high GW score :o
I even used first waiver on Yoshida, forgetting he's no more a starter...

First things first. MoSe is getting better but he is still malingering in hospital and charming the nurses. Well, he calls it charming. Between themselves they call it something else.

So, today's activity:

  • MoSe got wahine's Fernandinho in for Phillips. As if he doesn't already have enough good players.
  • Wahine brought Gomez and Dier in for Tarkowski and Xhaka. Giroud is doing well for her but unfortunately only in the EFL Cup and Europa League.
  • Deeney has been taking pottery lessons as an anger management technique but unfortunately he mistook Allen for a lump of clay that needed moulding last weekend, he obviously hasn't quite got the hang of it yet. Anyway, Joccki has decided enough is enough and having failed to get Sturridge switched him for Diouf, taking Antonio for Brady at the same time in a somewhat inexplicable (sorry, brilliant) move.
  • PB went waiver crazy this week and stacked up something like 84 requests; he managed to make 4 switches including beating Joccki to the punch with Sturridge as well as adding Demarai Gray, Hoedt and J-Rod.
  • TopMarx went for Naughton and Ayew in order to cover himself in the event of a 5-0 Swansea win.
  • Mo Bot has only made 3 transactions all season but he has bigger fish to fry of course. 8-)
  • It's not clear whether snakzz realises that transfers in Draft don't cost you points. :?: He hasn't made a single one yet anyway and has clearly not discovered the delights of poking around in the free agent bin on a Friday (which is a very therapeutic activity and much to be recommended).
  • And RNZ has added Aurier and Ince to his constellation of players cast off by others.
MoSe leads by 51 points. He ought to be playing with a handicap really.
Haha, my second kid just arriving 2 weeks ago and loads, loads of work overload totaly makes me only focus on the main game atm when I have time sadly.

TBH I dont even know how I do transfers in this draft? :S

Gap between MoSe and 2nd place: 46 points. Gap between 2nd and 10th place: 70 points. He just keeps walking forward while everyone else stumbles. 🏃
MoSe wrote: Yes, I kept on walking, while the chaser threw himself on the ground :P

One of the most therapeutic half-hours of the week for me is poking around in the bargain bin for free agents on a Friday. Last week I managed to pick up Moses and Gray; hopefully this week's additions of Mooy, Bony and Duffy will be equally effective. I'm back to 3 injured players on the bench though.😼

One of my strikers got two attacking returns in the same game. TWO! IN THE SAME GAME!!

I think I need to lie down.

Sunday went less well.

I had high hopes for my Liverpool quadruple-up, but it didn't turn out so well in the end. Coutinho (1), Lovren (1), Mané (2), Milner (2). Double clean sheet lost late on thanks to Dejan's latest brain fart.

Also benched Calvert-Lewin's assist and Begović's penalty save.

*sigh*

you're now 6th in our league
lowest teams get to "call" first

IF the 4 teams ahead of you in the waiver wire don't take your players first,
you will see the results of the waiver process 24h before the GW deadline
Draft Waivers Deadline.gif
When you filed your Waiver Requests in the Transactions page,
the answer to your question was there up in the Waivers page banner to read

Hmmm... my team has been surging recently so I thought I'd look at the table. I am 44 points behind MoSe. Always 44 points behind MoSe, it sometimes gets worse but it never gets closer than that. He just keeps walking on.

MoSe, you are a graphic prince!

I thought I had a sense of déjà vu about being 44 points behind you and I was - back in GW9. Since then there have been a couple of little pushes and stumbles but it always seems to revert to about that level where it is again now.

I quite like draft as a game but think I'd only play it for cash next season because it can get a bit tedious. Having a 10-team league has been great because there is real opportunity to be a bit creative with waivers and FTs, take some punts on players you'd never have in FPL. But it lacks all the strategic intricacy of FPL because no budget is involved and FTs are unlimited. How are others finding it?

Bah, PB beat me to Arnie, I thought I was allowed a monopoly on all Stoke-related players?

Never mind, Tom Ince is in good form. He'll do. :P

I've restructured my defence, swapping double Liverpool for double Everton.

Lovren  Kenny
Milner  Williams
Schlupp  Janmaat

Going with the J-Lo this week... 5-4-1.

Much the same as you. It's all a bit random and it's a bit of a slog week-to-week trying to get enthused about players that you wouldn't ordinarily select. But it's a bit of fun and a relaxing diversion from the main game. And I enjoy snapping up all of Joccki's targets every week before he has a chance to sign them. For all the good it's doing me.

I was many times on the verge of swapping him back out in first 3 gws.
In the meanwhile I see JRod is a free agent again...

I had such high hopes for the 5-4-1.

Lovren (13) Kenny (4)
Milner (0) Williams (2) (yay!)
Schlupp (5) Janmaat (-1)

...and Maguire (0) against a team that hadn't scored an away goal since April. I suppose I should be thankful at least for Valencia's fortuitous clean sheet.

What's that? He's gone and pulled his hamstring?

Quiz question: what do recently emerging points haulers Depoitre, Rooney, Özil and Sigurdsson have in common?
Answer: Mose has all of them in his draft team.

He blew the league away last week and is now 64 points ahead of 2nd and nearly 100 points ahead of 3rd. 8-)

That's the spirit, Mo! I think the 9 of us should start a "Get MoSe" club. He's a lovely Italian gentleman, maybe we could appeal to his sense of fair play by saying that he should release some players back into the pool as a gesture of solidarity. Think he'd fall for that?
