Cheers. It's just me so far so let's see how it goes.
Perhaps I have publicised this a little late.

I would like to give it a try as well, but since I'm on Bali, I will probably be sleeping by then.

I'd be up for giving this a go today. Signed up for a draft league and no clue how it works, so any practice would be handy

I've joined the draft for two reasons, one so I can see it from the non-admin side and two I'm going to do the draft from a mobile and see how that goes :)

I'm in, first login to FPL for 4 years and the site looks like shit (lime green?). Haven't read up on anything and the Help button is useless. How do I set up my own default draft order?

Welcome.
This is a learning exerise for all of us but it looks like you click on "draft room"
then you add players to your "watchlist"
and there is a set of buttons that allow you to play with the order.

Though it you're there live it's more about a shorthand of which players are available rather than auto-picks. :)

Great to have to you back around btw Colbert. You entering an fpl team this year?

Brilliant, that's the full lot (and recommended league size so a good number).

The admin has to delete the league. After GW1 I think that option disappears though.

Nah no FPL for me, this looks a bit of fun though so figured I might do it. Looks like it could be as much work as a proper FPL season though.

Seen a minileague called FISO ISO which looks decent though so will throw an effort into that I think.

Anyone know the league id from that last draft? Would be interesting to see the full draft using the URL from my site above. Felt a longer one than the first.

I ended up with a very similar feeling team to my first try (I think that was because I've been 3rd and 6th, which are very similar positions).

can someone please clarify something for me .... once someone has been picked by someone else do they disappear from your watchlist?

also we are playing a draft with max 3 from one team ... will players from the same team disappear once you have picked 3?

just wondering as slimming down the watchlist will make it easier obv

Edit: Edited out the dot.
Could this league now be deleted, please? :-)

There is no "per club" limit in draft FPL. If you are enforcing 3 players per club, as a house rule, there is no way to make the site take this into account. Perhaps you should enforce a punishment who buys a fourth player by mistake, as there is no option to correct picks made in error! you would have to force them to transfer them out immediately I suppose.

yes this is an iteresting issue

as posted elsewhere...

- should we consider legal to draft without club limit, as this is the way Draft Fantasy is implemented?
or
- should we consider this a game loophole it would be a cheat to exploit, and agree about a house rule and the relative sanctions if broken?

I guess this should be left to each individual Draft League players to discuss, if anyone wants to raise it

It could be argued that as you're competing against 7 other managers taking turns to pick players into their teams.
you are racing to get the best players in the game for yourself, so if a manager thinks it's whorth to draft 4 players from the same team, and manages to do it, then it's fair game, as his league rivals didn't (bother to) prevent him to do so

it's not as in FPL where everyone can pick the same players, and without the club limit rule most teams would probably only get players from the big four

No limit on club numbers does allow some interesting angles for playful draft games I suppose... Liverpool Vs Manchester or London Vs The North, Spain Vs England. Things like that.

I've set up a test draft league for a starting time of 8.00pm tonight if anyone wants to "test the waters" on the new format. 8 teams.

I think we just go with the flow. If someone wants, or thinks they can get 3,4,5 from one team, then so be it.

Interesting. Like you I was 3rd and 6th in the two drafts. I felt looking at my team on paper I'd got a far better team in 3rd position than sixth. Specifically up front where I had Aguero/Vardy/King (3rd) compared to Jesus/Vardy/Deeney (6th). Also in defence I had a team of attacking full backs from 3rd and a team of (mostly) central defenders from 6th pick, which is likely purely coincidence.

Just for a laugh, I decided to run the two teams through the FFS RMT tool and calculate the total expected points for the season:

Team 3rd: 2064.92 (108m value)
Team 6th: 2089.43 (105m value)

It should be noted that the FFS projections heavily favour Jesus over Aguero to the tune of 45 points in the Brazilian's favour.
