Just double checking that this is where you booked?

and i suspect i will be the last to arrive, so are the rooms all booked under your name?

Bit late now but isn't there a Travelodge on Blackfriars 10/15min walk away? Not to worry, i'm sure it's better than that hell hole opposite the McDonalds we stayed in last time  .

Guys, I can't make this evening, I've messed up on the money front (busto Stars/life) and assumed I'd be able to withdraw from a Stocks+Shares ISA within a week and not be treated like a fkin money launderer(I have to send hard copies of passport/bankstatements) what a load of bo**ocks. I'm working on sorting something for Saturday as best I can. Spirey PM me your number would you.

great fun, great play from our lads. Some new faces in the points too!

Nobody is going home with a bigger smile than this guy though! Straight from the APAT thread.
Kracked Kings may have finished dead last this weekend, but one of their members will be going home with a story!...

Placing a £2 14-team accumulator, and with the first 13 teams all correct, he needed Barcelona to beat Valencia. It's 0-0 with 3 seconds of injury time left when Barcelona find the net!

Just the £24,000. Ker-ching!

edit: correction - it's actually £30,000. Would have been £240,000 if Chelsea won yesterday. Picture proof to follow!...

Very nice!

A great weekend - and profitable as well, what more can you ask?

I was out before first break in the Friday night tourney. Sat down at a £1/£1 cash table with £100, before I'd paid any blinds I had £250 :D Cashed in my chips a couple of hours later for £235, but not before throwing them all over the floor at the poker room door

The team event on Saturday was great. We didn't manage a team photo because Mike_ was delayed after somebody tried jumping onto his train from a high bridge.

Sat down with 15,000 chips and at the first break after three levels I was disappointed to be the team shortstack with around 11,000 after losing an early 4-bet pot with KK and proceeding to miss almost every flop afterwards. Doubled up shortly after the break 5-bet shoving JJ over the table aggro-monkey's 4 bet and winning the flip against AK - he had a little whinge about my shove being too loose, obviously forgetting the earlier hand when he 4-bet 99 and won his flip. Busted him a little later when I called his small raise from the BB with A4 and flopped the joint 2 3 5, he 3 bet shoved over my check-raise with 99.

News of Mike_'s arrival and subsequent bustout closely followed by Karrde's demise dampened spirits a little bit but 6 of us were going strong at the dinner break, by which time I'd chipped up a bit to over 60k. Feeling good (and maybe a little tipsy!) in a cheap attempt to curry favour with the rest of the table, half of which were female (but that's not relevant!), I ordered a round of drinks for the table but before the waiter could return we got broken.

More to follow...
